Not as Good as Previous Battery Operated Model HX3351

I can't believe they replaced the previous battery operated model with this garbage. I agree with all the other negative reviews here. The brush head bangs against your teeth no matter how you use it and I can't get it all the way to the back without a struggle, not to mention how it buzzes loudly in my jaw. I have a small mouth so don't tell me I'm not using it right. Plus it's so loud I can't use it when my husband is asleep or it wakes him up! It vibrates so much it makes me nauseous and I am going to get vertigo for sure (like a previous reviewer said). The previous model was perfect. I've had mine for years, in fact it still works I just thought this might be an upgrade. Too bad it's not. Now I can't find the old model online anywhere for less than $100, probably because the sellers know it's rare. I think this new version is a ploy to get people to buy the more expensive models. It's not going to work with me, though. I don't like being let down and then manipulated. Sell an honest product and don't anger customers!
Pros: cheap
Cons: much worse than previous model, buzzes like a saw in your ear, so loud it will wake up everyone in the house, vibrates so much it can be annoying, head is large for small mouths

Bring back the old style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used the older model sonicare battery operated toothbrush for years and loved it. No charger to mess with, great for travel etc. This newer one is just not the machine the old one was. I am so disappointed that they discontinued it. Might have to find space for a charger and buy a plug in model. Super disappointed.
Cons: loud don't love the design of it. not the quality

BAD Design!!!!

This is the worst Sonicare toothbrush ever designed! PLEASE bring back the HX3351 Xtreme AA battery operated toothbrush. The HX3351 was very superior product and the ability to use common AA batteries was a great idea. We all have too many rechargeable items cluttering our homes, our toothbrush should not be one of them. Believe me the HX3351 Xtreme toothbrush gets a solid rating of 10 stars.
Pros: uses aa batteries
Cons: bad design; neck is too short and stocky.

work ok, but it is not a good as the extreme battery toothbrush model it replaced, with the standard old style brush heads. new and improved isn't always better.

Was good until.....

The toothbrush gave a good clean, until the batteries needed to be changed. When I replaced it with new batteries, it didn't turn back on. I tried everything and the toothbrush was inoperable. I'm sure the other sonicare products are great; however, this toothbrush is not reliable. It lasted about 2 months before completely giving out/malfunctioning.
Cons: needs battery replacement regularly.

This is an excellent toothbrush! Highly recommend!
Pros: works better than other b.o. toothbrushes., dentist clean feeling, whitens, strong vibration/powerful, small brush head for tight areas, mouth feels healthy, turns off after 2 minutes of use
Cons: plastic back of brush head can hurt teeth when on, no gentle mode

worst toothbrush

I love my sonicare extreme model for many years, but couldn't find it anymore. Tried this power up. It rattled my head so hard that I had headache and dizziness after one use. I now use it to clean tile grouts. Why did you discontinue the extreme? That was the best toothbrush Ever.
Pros: none
Cons: rattled so hard that made me feel sick

Perfect for travel when you don't want to carry your charger (our other brushes are old & don't hold much of a charge anymore).
It just takes 2 AA batteries, so super simple.
Love it.
Pros: easy use
Cons: no 30-second timer
I would recommend this to a friend!
