The mount is very secure and is in an ideal location for the camera. Great views of the riders behind me. I have used the video to snag great photos of our cycling club riders.

GoPro Seat Rail Mount works great

The GoPro Seat Rail Mount provides a small, low-profile way to mount your GoPro to the seat rail. For bikes like mine with aero-shaped seat posts, the normal seat post mounts, which are made for round seat posts, do not work. When used with the GoPro Session, the camera can be mounted upside down and still shoots right-side-up video. There is a consideration - with the Seat Rail Mount, it is really tough to mount the typical other seat rail items like spare or tube or bag or gun rack. So be prepared to find another location for those goodies. The clearance can be a bit tight with the camera housing, negating the quick release latch mechanism, but the 3 mm Allen key fastener is pretty easy to access (just don’t lose or forget the Allen key).

Rail mount that works

The Pro Seat Rail Mount works perfectly on my Salsa Bucksaw 1 fat bike. I recommend this to those who want to get the picture of what you've just completed as well as a good view of your rider buddies you've just left in the dust!

I really like the mount. It mounts to nearly every seat rail I have tried. It's great to get another perspective from your ride or of yourself. I have attached cameras to friends seats and rode behind them. It provides a great angle and some amazing footage. It is EXTREMELY sturdy and placed in a well protected area. It is easy to change out with the tool provided and stays locked in place. Great for on and off road bikes. Fun shots for the novice to expert editor.
