Almost great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have my washer and dryer stacked, and when my washer spins it sounds like a jet taking off and shakes my whole house. I keep being told it's because they are on a tile floor??

Good cleaning action

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer about 2 months ago. It does a good job at washing clothes and seems to dry better than our previous washer since the drying time is less now. However, it is noisier than expected, especially when water is pumped out during various times in the cycles. In fact, there is an annoying buzzing that transmits through the cabinet during this time to the extent that the utility room door is closed while is use.
One beneficial feature of the washer is the fact that the door can be reversed to open to the right. In fact, this was the only washer that we found to allow us to do it. Our 1970's utility room is not very deep and we had to keep the washer to the right of the dryer due to venting for the dryer. Other than the noise issue, the washer is a great unit functionally and has nice features.

Thank you for sharing your washer review, MarkR. When you washer makes loud noises while draining, the most common fault is something is stuck in the drain pump and clogging it. The buzzing sound occurs as the drain pump tries to run but something is blocking it. There can be items such as a small sock, a coin, or something small in your clothes pockets when you wash them. Quiet, efficient, and elegant!

I had given up on front loader washing machines; however, the Electrolux EFLS617SIW is quickly changing my opinion. It is quite, efficient, with understated elegance. I love the fact that the detergent is mixed with the water as it enters the machine which delivers the right amount of detergent to the clothes. I can see that the clothes are receiving perfect saturation of soap to provide a deep clean. The clothes are also perfectly rinsed so I never have suds in the channel. I live in a small apartment and can't hear the machine operate even when washing a heavy load. Lastly, the quick wash setting is such a time saver. I would highly recommend this unit and I get all of this quality and efficiency at a reasonable cost.

Great Washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought mine 3 weeks ago and was surprised how effectively it washes my laundry loads with minimal water. The high-speed spin dry eliminates so much water from the clothes, my dryer operates less. So, not only does the washer save water, it spins out so much water, I save electricity and natural gas drying the clothes.
