Disappointing

I purchased this to replace our old washer/dryer due to it's claims of superior cleaning. We have not found that to be true, it is average in cleaning and a significant amount of money for something that does not deliver. Also, the wash times are long, unless you do the 15 minute wash. Make sure you have plenty of time on your hands to wash and dry!! (I would be ok with this if the clothes were significantly cleaner, all the "stain treatment" seems to do is add time.) There are also some design flaws on the dryer which causes clothes to catch on the lint catcher and sometimes rip (my daughter's spaghetti straps are history), and the time to dry is LONG. Lastly, these machines scratch if you even look at them, so frustrating! Overall very disappointed and would return both if I could. I don't understand how these had such rave reviews, makes no sense to me.

I am dismayed to hear of your disappointment in the performance of your front load washer, butter123. We recommend liquid or powder detergent over the use of PODS in front load washers. We are unable to guarantee the pod will dissolve at the correct time during the wash cycle to ensure proper cleaning performance. If pods are used, please place the pod directly into the washer drum BEFORE placing laundry into the unit. This will help mix the detergent into the water. Do not place the pod in the detergent drawer as the gel coating may cause the detergent drawer to become clogged (page 8 in your Owner’s Manual). For best washing performance, the washer can be fully loaded, but the items should not be tightly packed. I would also suggest combining large and small items in a load. Load your large items first. Large items should not be more than half the total wash load. Lastly, you may find using a mesh bag for delicate or small items will help prevent items from clogging your drain pump. The only thing I have a hard time is the lint tray for my dryer is hard to clean, certain sections accumulate lint and cannot clean very well.

Great features and clothes come out so fresh!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this washer for about a month. It is a replacement for an old top-loader. What a difference! Our clothes are coming out so fresh. We love the steam feature too. The specialty appliance store we purchased from advised us to use a minimum amount of detergent, just two or three tablespoons... way less than we'd think would be effective. Sure enough, it works great that way. Also, we leave the door and the detergent drawer open when we're done so that any remaining water can evaporate. The machine is pretty quiet, too. It's so nice not to have to worry about load size or rearranging the wash items so that the load stays balanced. Great washer so far!

So Clean!

The steam function is nice, and all the different settings makes it possible for all your different clothes to come out perfect.

Great washer, don't like spin though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been loving my new washer! My clothes are cleaner than ever before and I especially love how the detergent and water are mixed BEFORE going into the clothes. The only thing I don't love so far is that on the spin cycle sometimes the washer shakes pretty bad. I've followed the troubleshooting guide for it, but nothing has helped and it does not do it all of the time. I asked the store I bought it from and they said that has been a common complaint for them on this particular washer. Overall though the washer has been doing great!

Works like a champ

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised at how little vibration when on max spin, and how quiet the machine is. Much quieter than the previous front-loader than I had. Also, one of the few that had a reversible door. One thing that I miss is a spin-only cycle.

Suds left over

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use barely any detergent and fill it up to the bottom of the minimum line and even add an extra rinse cycle and every time there's Suds left on the inside of the door and around the rubber gasket and inside of it. I use original tide but I'm going to try a different detergent and see if that helps

My clothes are actually clean!

The washer was less than a year old and would not rinse detergent from clothes, wouldn't spin dry, stay on balance...this washer does it all!! I didn't purchase the pedestal and that is a regret.
