My clothes have never been cleaner

Cleans well with less H2O

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace our 9 year old front loading machine from another manufacturer, and its operation is quite different. The machine spends the initial 6 minutes of a load agitating with very little water, then the pre-mixed detergent is sprayed in above the clothes. I've had to reduce the amount of detergent I generally add dramatically. The clothes are very clean despite any measurable water in the drum. Rather than relying on the "feeling" that more water is better, I like that Electrolux has provided us with a water saving alternative. However, my long term satisfaction will be based on reliability, especially considering the extra pumps this washer has.

Too New to tell

Purchased the 617 series washer and dryer. They have been in use for only two weeks so it's too early to tell. The real satisfaction occurs after a year or two in use.

Love this washer

After looking at several brands and reading MANY reviews, I decided on this Electrolux washer. I especially liked the fact that the detergent is mixed with water then added to the tub. It does a great job cleaning clothes, removing stains, and spinning nearly dry. It is quiet. I also found that I use more of the options than I did with my other machines.

We Like It

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer about a month ago. It takes getting used to not seeing much water in the machine. Our old washer was almost 30 years old and was a top loader with agitator that used a lot of water. The clothes come out clean which is what a washer is supposed to do. It seems to be sturdy. Even on high spin there is very little shimmy. The only complaint I've had so far is that the water valves are the sudden stop kind and cause water hammer in the pipes but that was remedied easily with water hammer arresters that are designed for washing machines. Just connect them to the water inlets and the hoses to them and the water hammer went away.
So far we're happy with the machine. Let's see if it lasts 30 years like our old machine did.
