The ease of use, the variety of washing modes, and the economical use of water were what sold me on this product. The efficiency and quietness are second to none. I'm glad I purchased it!

Mold grows around door gasket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose my new set (washer/dryer) because of the dryer - this just happened to be the matching washer. I chose the dryer because it was one of very few full size units that would fit in a closet, due to having a channel in the back that allows the vent hose to run off to the side, allowing you to push the stacked set further back into the closet, which was necessary to close the door in my case. I'm not very pleased with this washer for two reasons. The main problem is mold which grows at the bottom of the door gasket, where the water drains. I leave the door open, run the sanitizing drum cleaning cycle, use bleach, use vinagar, clorox wipes... nothing seems to prevent or fully clean up the mold stain. Secondly, the washer does not do small loads well. It's fine for large loads, but can't seem to get all the soap out of small loads, such as a couple of towels. I use HE liquid, HE pods... but no matter which or how little I use, I can wash the load six times and still have suds.
