Electrolux EFLS617 Washer is average

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the Electrolux EFLS617 washer and matching dryer to replace a pair of Bosch Nexxt 700 appliances that were dying. The Electrolux washer has taken a bit to get used to. The spin cycle must be set to extra spin to spin out the water, the control panel is difficult to see (had to install a brighter light in the laundry room to see it). The spin cycle is much louder than the Bosch was before the drum bearing died on it. It seems like it takes longer to complete a wash load than the old washer, but It does clean the clothes and the sanitize cycle and the interior drum light are handy features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the capacity

Great washer!

Front Loading Washer

I bought this a few weeks ago and thought it would be better than my high efficiency washer. It already has the "smell" of a front loader that many people complain about. I leave the door and dispenser open after I am finished using it to allow it to dry out, as was recommended by my dealer. I also purchased the pedestal and the drawer does not close. I am still waiting for a new part to be installed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us, WofOz. For best results use the system clean cycle once a month; for preventive maintenance, you may use one cup of liquid chlorine bleach or one pouch of Tide® Washing Machine Cleaner. Immediately follow up with a rinse and spin cycle.
In cases where the System Clean cycle along with care and cleaning of rubber gasket folds isn’t done, and severe odor, mold, mildew, or reside buildup have developed, follow the below procedure to help alleviate the problem.
Ensure the wash tub is empty. Open the detergent drawer and pour eight cups of bleach into the detergent compartment on the left. Upon cycle, completion inspect the interior of the washer to see if the odor/residue has been eliminated. If any additional cleaning is required, repeat the above procedure. This may take several cycles depending on the severity of the odor/residue.
For especially contaminated areas visible inside the drum (including the front rubber seal), these areas might be more effectively cleaned by spraying a Bleach Cleaner on a scrub brush, soft sponge, or towel and scrubbing.
If an odor is still left after bleach cycle(s) and bleach cleaner, open the detergent drawer and pour one pouch of Tide® Washing Machine Cleaner in the detergent drawer. Select system clean cycle and start the washer. For best results immediately follow up with a rinse and spin cycle.

Happy with purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the washer to replace an older top loader. We can really tell a difference in the way our clothes come out cleaner. The machines are located on the 2nd floor and with a custom built cabinet we have had no issues with vibration or noise.
