Cleans better than I expected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased my Electrolux washing machine, 4.4 CF, to replace my old washer that was only 8 years old after the drive shaft failed. The old washer was a direct drive steam version, it worked okay.
When I went to buy the Electrolux, the salesperson was trying to direct me to the brand of my old machine that broke down. I asked him to make another recommendation and he suggested the Electrolux.
Why I did I choose it? Well, after going online, I found out that repairs involving the drive shaft were comment in the brand of my old machine. The Electrolux wasn't a direct drive, it was belt driven. It also premixed and diluted the detergent before going into the washer's drum. Enough said, I bought it.
I've had the machine for about three weeks. I first noticed that my clothes came out cleaner and softer than before! The whitest whites cycle lives up to it's name too! Overall, I recommend this washing over all the name brands currently in those big box stores. Buy it!

Attractive, User Friendly, Practicable

My old dryer finally and thankfully quit altogether.(Wasn't an Electrolux.) I consulted with my daughter-in-law because she had done a lot of research and purchased an Electrolux. She told me how much she enjoyed her Electrolux dryer and advised that I would be wise to purchase one also. I did and am very glad. It performs wonderfully.

Overly complicated, leaking from the initial test

I bought a different Electrolux washer and dryer, but the ones I purchased were sold and delivered to someone else while I was waiting for installation. I was “upgraded” to this unit. I hate it. There are a million settings, but not one for permanent press. I spend time keying in what I want and it resets to its default setting. It’s the loudest washer I have ever heard. Even with the laundry room door closed I cannot hear over it to have a conversation. It’s enormous and really annoying despite the glowing incentivized reviews. The installer ran a test cycle and it would not stop beeping once it was complete, I opened the door and water dripped out all over my new floor. There was water sitting in the bottom of the drum, it is bound to smell and rust over time. I expected better perfo on day one. Worst washer ever, worst manual ever, I should have moved my 30 year old washer instead of wasting money on this noisemaker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
