Great Cleaning Power - A Pleasure to Use!

Lint causing fan vibration

We purchased this EFMG617sIW dryer at the end of July. I would not stay running the day it was delivered. Tech ordered all electronics to fix and 10days later we had a dryer. First time ever I had to use a laundromat. Then 8 weeks later it starts to vibrate. Tech comes out and removes little net from the blower fan. Seem they designed this dryer with the fan pulling the hot air out of the drum. Didn’t they ever look at a dryer vent pipe. Anyway the lint got past the lint screen and accumulated on the fan blades causing the fan to vibrate and shake. The repair tech came out and cleaned about two cups of lint off the blades. That lasted about 5 weeks and he was back again. He called the tech line and was advertising send that a new lint trap screen was made available for that problem. That was ordered. We used the machine for the 6 days it took two children me in. I asked him t take the machine apart again thanks clean the fan, he did not seem very happy about that request. He did it and cleaned lint off the fan and then installed the new lint trap. It really does not look different then the old me and des not seem t fit tighter. I’m crying ncerned it’s just a matter of days before enough lint slips past the trap and get caught on the fan. I’m not happy at all and would not suggest this design dryer t anyone. Ps: they didn’t even pay the $24 of laundromat costs. Oh ya. And it never seems to be able t tell when the cloths are dry. Spoke me much for the “energy star” rating. I wish the CEO Jonas Samuelson would give me a call about this product. I would like to talk shop with him about the car business (he is ex-GM) and American industry. We can do better then this now and he knows it hence the investment in the US.

Nice designed unit - needs minimal clearance

Paired with a EFL617SIW washer, and very happy with both. Installation allowed the stacked set to fit a very tight space where others would not. Dryer connection sits more toward the front allowing a quick 90 deg. connection with just a few inches of clearance needed behind. Gas Dryer works well, but the metal screen on the back wall of the dryer comp compartment (where the heat comes in) quickly got a blackened spot on it, probably from dark fabric fibers. Have not seen any damage to clothing, so we hopes its just a characteristic development. Will ask retailer about it and mild grumbling from washer, and repost if any issues.

Burning my cloths

I bought this unit with my washer and since the first time usage, its burning my cloth and I only had this for less then 3 months. Initially, I thought my kids did some thing to there cloth and we notice that it was like this for lot of our cloths and thought it was weird so we looked up the dryer and it had been having issues with this problem dating back to 2008. We just sent a request to my local appliance store to see if I can exchange this for another products. If you are buying this products beware of this and buy it with discretion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect steam leaves clothes wet

Washer and dryer installed 2 weeks ago. Got a chance to try the instant refresh setting. In 10 minutes clothes come out cool and wet. Not happy

I bought this washer and dryer set about a month ago after my ancient washer stopped working. I love the settings and all the features they offer. I have used the steam features and they work well.
