I've only had my new Electrolux front load washer and dryer for 2 weeks, but so far they have not disappointed me. They do have great features. I previously had LG and they served me well. I looked at the Electrolux for a couple of years, and two dealers tried to talk me out of them. However, ratings and reviews were consistently good, and so I'm happy that I trusted my own choice. Working on finding the right combination of settings for my regular loads of laundry. Have yet to hit on the eco friendly combinations for various loads. I do think that this washer uses more water than my LG, and I like that. I feel that you need adequate water to get the dirt out of the clothes and wash it away. Though I realize that HE detergent is supposed to be low sudsing, I need to see some sign of soap in the washer. With a little more water, I do see that. Additionally, if one adds too much detergent, the machine adds extra time to the rinse cycle. One minor observation is sometimes the dryer drum throws items against the door, and they sit on the lip where the lint screen is. The only other thing is I wish the chime that signals the end of a cycle were adjustable. It's not very loud, and I don't always hear it unless I'm pretty close by.. Both the washer and the dryer are very quiet, andI am very happy with them so far.
