Better than my 4 year old Maytag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Maytag dryer died after 4 years, and it was the top of the line. I replaced it with this Electrolux 617 after much research. Great dryer, huge drum, though very deep, easy controls and it dries things quickly especially for the teens in my house who forget to get their uniform ready the night before.

Wrinkles

I have tried every setting, combo, temp and all my t-shirts come out with wrinkles. This is no better than my 6 year old Kenmore dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

AZMOM, I am saddened to hear your dryer is not performing as expected. Ensure you are not overloading the dryer. Your clothes need room to tumble about. After clothes have come out of the washing machine, they tend to be twisted from the torque of the final spin cycle; shaking them out before they go in the dryer will help to cut back on wrinkling. The setting you use is also important: The perfect steam option injects steam into the clothing prior to cool down to reduce wrinkling, ironing and static cling. It is not recommended to use fabric softener sheets with steam cycles or steam options as it may cause staining on clothes. The wrinkle release option helps prevent wrinkles and tangling by tumbling the dry load without heat for 5 minutes out of every 10 minutes. The 5 minutes on and 5 minutes off is repeated for a total 45 minutes. A chime will sound after every 5 minute tumble to remind you to remove the dried load. The extended tumble (if available) option can be selected with wrinkle release to increase the amount of time the load will tumble without heat for up to 75 minutes (page13 in your Owner’s Manual). Great dryer!

My daughter has the same machine and our research showed that this brand and machine came out on top in reviews.

The drying options are fantastic, I never have to worry about my clothes, they have a setting for every clothing material imaginable. There is not a thing I would change! If you’re looking for a new dryer look no further! I couldn’t be more pleased with both the washer and dryer! Hands done best choice we have made!!
