Display size does not fit the whole monitor

I have just bought this unit and connected to my Microsoft surface tablet and the display does not fill up the whole screen. It occupies only 2/3 of the screen and there is black background on both side. Tried adjusting the screen resolution and it still does not work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NO SPEAKERS!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] happy with the video, but it turns out that this monitor does not have built-in audio speakers and that wasn't clear when reading about the monitor. Not having built-in audio speakers is very disappointing. Appears that it does but not until I talked with LG rep did I discover this. The monitor control panel displays audio VU meters, which makes it look like it does have built-in audio speakers. Summary: Great Video. No Audio!!!!

No Speakers, NO HDMI output for external speakers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No speakers, dummy auto controls to make you think it has built in speakers, no hdmi output for external speakers. I bought hd sound and graphics for a reason why would i want to downgrade to the ancient stereo jack for headphones.

Great picture quality, but speakers don't work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this monitor in Bestbuy. I'm really satisfied with the picture quality. Having ultrawide screen is really amazing. I'm able to work with 3 windows side by side.
Unfortunately this is the second time I exchange the monitor and the speakers are still not working.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only things we have hd problems with is the ice machine sometimes get clogged and we hbd to clean it out and remove build up ice. But that's a problem all fridges have. The water and ice levers have started to leak tho. But we are trying to talk to the people to see if it's a warranty fixable issue. And the filters are expensive and need to be changed like twice a year. Hopefully so. But other than that great product!!!

Good Display, But No Audio Speakers

I'm very happy with the video, but it turns out that this monitor does not have built-in audio speakers and that wasn't clear when reading about the monitor. Not having built-in audio speakers is very disappointing and it took a lot of research to determine that it didn't because the monitor control panel displays audio VU meters, which makes it look like it does have built-in audio speakers. So, you need to keep that in mind when considering this monitor.
Summary: Great Video. No Audio.
