Fan speeds and lighting are appropriate. Fan sounds are not too loud and the lighting is perfect for cooking or additional lighting in the kitchen area.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Completes the suite

Completes the suite of Cafe appliances in my new kitchen. Works well but quite a bit louder than the Vent-a-Hood I had in my previous kitchen

Dim lighting; need better lighting!

Love this commercial grade 36” exhaust hood, model CVW93612MSS, but the tiny halogen bulbs are too dim for my needs. How can I get more/brighter lighting???

Don't purchase!

We just completed our full kitchen remodel and purchased all GE Cafe Appliances, including the 36 inch vent hood. I cannot express how disappointed I am in the exhaust and lighting. The exhaust fan does not pull odors when I am cooking bacon or frying foods. Also, the lighting is VERY POOR and disappointing unless you purchased it for a night light.

Nice hood, dim lighting, how to upgrade the buld?

Hood just installed and looks very nice. However the lighting is very dim - the manual suggests I can replace the bulb with a 20w halogen, however the hood has a label stating "1w max" and the bulb does not look removable - it is 5 little dots on a circuit board, each of which shines - clearly some kind of newer LED bulb. I posted a picture of it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

To replace the bulb, we recommend using a new 12-volt, 20-watt (maximum) Halogen bulb for a G-4 base. You can purchase the bulb, part WB01X10239, at our GE Appliances parts store, linked here: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/WB01X10239
