Not for the non techno savvy

First of all, I am totally new to these "smart phones" so my opinion is probably worthless. I got the phone for ease of use and I wanted a phone with a really good camera. I am still working through the camera. I dislike the sensitivity of the touch screen. It pretty much does whatever it wants to do at the moment. I cannot speak to the techno side of anything but in general, it was a challenge to use. I prefer my old Samsung Intensity. The Galaxy S5 seems to burn through a lot of battery life in a short period of time...just a few hours, like 4. It has to live near a charger. What I dislike the most is the inability to decline an update that has little to do with anything other than totally messing up my phone and it cannot be undone. This last one was over the edge. I hate it. I had finally made friends with my phone and now that has been trashed. Lollipop is NOT a good update. The product was ok until that update.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, it is a beautiful phone
Cons: no option to decline updates
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product is good, except the new software.

I like the new lollipop update, but the Galaxy S6 has a better software. Some of the stock apps don't have big changes and I'd like to see some. Other than that the S5 is really good, I love it.
Former iphone user, will not look back! Easy to update and versatile. Love that I can expand my memory and change the battery as needed. Battery life is amazing!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

I liked what I'd heard and seen in the S5. I almost waited for the S6 until I found that like the IPhone the SD card could not be changed. I went that day and bought my S5 and I wouldn't take anything for it! It does anything that I've wanted it to do so far.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, can change sd card
I would recommend this to a friend!

With the upgraded OS to Lollipop this phone can do many functions. Multitasking while on the phone becomes a breeze. The user interface makes it a reliable phone on the market. With the best camera it takes high quality pictures with a couple of touches of the screen.
The only issue with it is that Google seems to have to log and backup everything on it and it's "imperative" that a Google account be used to maintain the updates via Google Play services for the applications (apps) on it.
I personally like the Samsung account setup and the Galaxy Apps. Samsung put some good features on it. The antitheft feature that alarms the phone with a message on the phone screen with whatever you type in there (max character limit) remotely and you can lock it and erase the data on it remotely from the Samsung website if it gets stolen. Account setup required. The automatic security updates from Samsung is also a plus.
I am happy with the phone as long as there are no bugs that get in it from a bad app.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ever since I had the samsung galaxy Slll, I have enjoyed Samsung, I was stupid and went to the LG G2 and couldn't wait for my contract to end to get out of it and the day my contract was up, I went and got the Samsung Galaxy S V and boy am I glad I did, it is so much better than the LG G2, people ask me why I don't go get the LG G4 and my only answer was I DON'T THINK SO, WON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT....the way my phone handles, the accessories it has, i really enjoy everything about my phone, I will never be stupid again and go with a different phone, even if someone else buys it....
I cannot say enough about Samsung. Their products rock!! almost all of my elctronics are from Samsung including my new 55" SUHD 4K TV. I evn bought a sound bar of which has been greatly improved. Way to go!! My phone has given me two years of great service and value. I am going to trade it in for a Samsung note next to upgrade.
