when this phone was released it was an excellent smartphone. i had 1 for approximately 3 1/2. whilst i used it, it truly was great. but then, they quit issuing updates. unfortunately just like every phone before it and every one after, once they stop being updated it's time to move on to the latest and greatest that's available at the time. now the galaxy s5 is more suited for a paperweight.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the samsung line of phones they always do a great job at surpassing the "Apple".
I like the new rear design, glad you guys decided to change that but otherwise, i was kind of expecting a total redesign, its kind of looked basicly the same since the s3, (on the front interface mostly) and the fingerprint scanner is not the best in my opinion because you have to slide your finger down which is hard to do with only one hand...to me, from the frontside, it basicly just looks like another galaxy note..
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, old design (on the front)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome product, nice battery life...fast response and light,
Great phone... Except... It won't stop flashing "Unfortunately, Samsung Link has stopped." which appeared during the setup process. I've tried several times to make this popup disappear to no avail. I just got the phone yesterday, so it's brand new. If this popup doesn't go away, my carrier is going to have to issue another new S5. If this wasn't happening, I'd be a 100% happy customer. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
