A really great phone

I needed water resistance
I needed more memory internal space.
A larger Micro SD chip, at least 64 gig.
I wanted a larger HD capable screen.
I needed to be able to use hml port to drive a hdmi screen.
The camera had to be higher resolution, and better at low light.
I wanted better memory management.
System has to Include auto back of app data.
I wanted an update to at least android 5.
I had to have a clear path to android 6.0
I needed fewer app crashes.
I needed more apps, more than my Samsung Avant
I needed more memory internal space.

My Samsung S5 HAS ALL THAT, and more, and seems that I have fewer dropped calls.
I love my S5, great with Android 5+, even better now with Android 6. Who needs a notebook, I have my S5.
But you must know, I can't wait to save up to get the S7 it is even better, which is hard to believe.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight, Built-in speakers, large micro sd capable

This phone does not have great teachers I thought I was downloading a camera feature

I thought I was downloading a camera feature for taking pictures of my running horses instead I downloaded this I don't know exactly what I downloaded but here it is also I don't like that I can't get a black background it had to be a colored background or I could get by piece of black paper tape it on the wall take a picture and then use that as my background kind of weird
Pros: Durable
Cons: Too big, hard to see in the sun too big won't fit in pocket
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my galaxy.so easy to use. I love all the features. Would not want another phone.my whole family has galaxy.we love them.works every where.

Still going strong

A couple years old now, but overall my Galaxy S5 has been a great phone that has withstood all my abuse. My S5 has become such an invaluable tool in my daily life and I can't imagine not having a Samsung phone. The screen, as with all Samsung displays is absolutely stunning, crisp and clear. I appreciate the water resistance most of all as it made cleaning the phone with water worry-free. Though I still enjoy using the my S5, I will probably upgrade to the Note series particularly for the larger screen size, although the S7 looks mighty nice. I currently own a Galaxy S5, two Galaxy Tab 7 (for my children), and a Galaxy Tab S 10.5. I also have an eight year-old Samsung LED TV that's still working great! Overall, I've been extremely happy with the S5 (and all the other Samsung devices I own.) -- DK
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight, water resistance and great earphones included!!!
Cons: charging/data cable can be tricky to insert

This is the best phone I have owned to date. Love all the features but a clear and easy phone is the most important to me. If I cant hear the phone it is no good to me.

Overall great all around smartphone

As an owner of numerous samsung phones I phones this one to be a stable all around phone with many features. The camera is good with a vibrant screen. The overall design is slick and easy to fit in a pocket etc. I am use to the larger notes so this phone is a step back in size. Overall a great phone with many features that are useful.
