I've been currently using this phone about one two years,and all the time I've been using it I never been disappointed at it.They always upgrade better than the other years and now they came with the Galaxy S7 Edge,and I always want it.Also what so awesome about it it is It's waterproof. WOW !!!!!!
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Built-in speakers, Lightweight, awesome
Cons: too awesome

Love my Samsung ph! It has great features & is lightweight & perfect size. But what I especially like is that it's so user friendly. When I had to replace my previous ph I opted for the GS5 & was intimidated at first but learned very quickly. I haven't found the need to upgrade as it has everything I need in a ph. But when I do it will definitely be another Galaxy S!

Crashes, takes seconds for apps to load or even respond to a touch.

When you need a phone to do its basic things:
1) call
2) text
3) take a picture

this phone provides 1 of 3 outcomes:
1) delay for about 10 seconds
2) crash
3) perform the function user requested

This is not acceptable, I will never buy a samsung device again.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, crashes, too slow

WAS a great product

Until this latest software update, my Galaxy S5 WAS tolerable*, NOW, I'm ready to smash the thing with a sledgehammer and get something else!
This latest update is junk! It has now caused the swype typing with the Samsung default keyboard, to not delete the entire last incorrect word swyped, but you have to delete by EACH INDIVIDUAL LETTER! And if it has selected a long incorrect word - ARG!
And NOW I just noticed the default calendar no longer allows me to copy a calendar item to another date! For example, I'm on a weekly pool (billiards) league. We start the new session tomorrow night. What I normally do, is create a recurring calendar item, for 'x' number of weeks we will be playing, leaving the location blank. We play at our 'home' several times during the session, and play 'away' games the other weeks. Rather than type in the same address for our home, I will copy the event to another date that we again play 'home', and then manually fill in the 'away' game address locations.
However, in someones infinite wisdom, YOU'VE ELIMINATED THE OPTION TO COPY A CALENDAR ITEM?! REALLY? Why would you eliminate something like that? A VERY useful function!
I've also noticed that now, I'm not able to use fingerprint authentication after restarting the phone - which SADLY has to be done on a VERY REGULAR BASIS, because I can't get rid of all that bloatware that I don't use, AND NEVER WILL USE! Which takes up system resources and probably causes memory leaks. *Bloatware is one of the reasons it was "tolerable", instead of being completely satisfied with the device.
I could understand if I was leasing/renting this phone, but it is MINE - BOUGHT AND PAID FOR! I should be able to get rid of apps I don't use - i.e. Google Play Music, Google Play Movies & TV, Google Play Books, Google Play Newsstand, Google Play Games, and Google Hangouts. I don't use this stuff, and will NEVER USE IT!
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: uninstallable bloatware, getting rid of useful features with updates
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
