This is a great phone that has all the options that I need. The screen is just big enough without being too large to carry in my pocket. Great graphics and functionality. I love the Health option. It's nice to see how many steps I take in a day. I have no complaints with this phone.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Big Microphone issues

From day one of haveing this phone, I have had issues with people hearing me when I call them. It has gradually gotten worse. now people can only hear me if I put the on speaker phone. Had similar issues with my S4 . I don't think I will be buying a Samsung again!
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

enjoyable product hindered by dead weight

I had the S3 for 3 years and was instantly hooked by its adaptability and freedom, quickly followed by its other features that made it a popular phone. I recently "upgraded" to the S5 and found that while it other key features (decent battery that can be removed, SD card slot, cameras, screen size, charge speed, etc) have either been kept or improved, they have literally loaded down the memory with apps and widget that can not be removed and require FREQUENT UPDATES.
Now if you are a parent that frequently hands your toddler your phone while at the same time uses it in place of your credit card and watching shows on three different streaming networks and has it frequently stolen, this phone is perfect for you. BUT any average individual, this is a blemish and annoyance.
When you factor out this singular hindrance, Samsung has once again made a great product.

This phone has amazing features, I love how responsive and fast it is. I just wish the screen were a bit bigger as on the Samsung Galaxy Note devices. Other than that, I hands absolutely NO complaints about it! I have mindednesspaired with a Galaxy Gear watch which makes me love it even more!!! Thanks again, Samsung for continuing to make such awesome products!!!

Poor performance

The first S5 got very very hot, dropped calls and kept doing an uncommanded restart.. The replacement ran cooler but dropped call rate has increased and this one also restarts without input from me. Both have Android 5.0 which may be the root cause of problems.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Very happy with my phone

I've been very reluctant to get a new phone because they are all too big to fit in my pocket. The features I loved are no longer available on many of the new phones. I wanted a better camera but didn't want to lose the SD card so I was very happy to find out the Galaxy S5 still offers the slot for the SD card. The battery life has been good so far but I do miss the convenience of having an extra battery. I'm still learning the features of my new phone but of all the new phones available this one is the best fit for me.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, good battery life, fast charging
Cons: Too big

I have had Samsung now for about 3-4years before yhe s5 I have now I had the s3 and things only progressed getting the s5 the simple layout of the apps and widgets are great. The one thing i will say i do not like occurred after an update one morning i was no longer able to select the theme of the phone. Other than that key feature it has been a great phone.

Cons: can't change the phones theme
