I'm so glad I switched to the Samsung galaxy s5

After having iPhones for a while, I'm so glad to have the s5 now. Better technology, better performance, better experience. The only improvement I would request is for a fingerprint scanner that doesn't require a swipe.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, better technology.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome Camera, oh yeah, it makes clear calls too

The Camera is nothing short of awesome. I've almost given up carrying around my 35mm. The GPS, after it fully acquires the updates from the satellites works pretty good. The magnetic compass has issues with accuracy. Two of the three acceleratometers or gyros functions ok, but the third axis has jitter issues. The IR blaster is great. The OS found my Samsung network printer and was able to print the first night home. The bluetooth paired with my devices and car stereo with out a hitch. Sounds good too. The finger print reader works as advertised. The phone connects to my carrier better than my previous smartphone. The voice navigation (commands; S Voice) and voice to text, well lets just say that those are maturing technologies. I don't have an accent, or speech impediment, I speak the "kings English".
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, the camera
Cons: sensors need fine tuning.

DO NOT USE!!! VERY BAD New Update ( Lollipop ) STAY AWAY FROM.

Well thank you Samsung, I was late for work this morning. This new update ( Lollipop ) has really messed me up with the Alarm, Interruptions and Priority. It has gotten far more confusing than it needs to be. Let me just ask you a simple question. " who in this world has ever set an alarm ( to wake up for work ) and then turned his/her phone on silent so that no calls or text will come through and wake him/her and NOT wanted to hear his alarm in the morning??? " How is that even an option? Who would want that? If I set an alarm believe me I NEED IT TO WAKE ME UP!!! It's very simple, " Silent " means everything that could possibly make noise resulting from some other action than brought on by myself EXCEPT the alarm! Forget all the work-arounds that people have figured out how to cope with your update. You have enabled a feature that is completely pointless and have gone a step further by disabling a feature that is widely used... the ALARM!

Cons: Did not meet expectations, new update ( lollipop )

I love this phone

I am not an apple person, so I do not wait for the latest iphone to come out and go crazy for it. But this galaxy is a different story. I had the S3 and gave it to my son so I could get the S5. I have enjoyed this phone more and still find stuff on it all the time.

Just did the switch from ATT to Verizon and left the Note 3 and went to S5 and love it! Best move yet and it is so much lighter and easier to handle (with 1 hand).

Beware of no notifications when in chat window/conversation!!!

When using the default Messages app on Samsung Galaxy S5, and you are texting with someone and their chat window is open, you will not receive any notification sound when you receive their messages. This happens if the conversation window is open regardless if you're typing a message or not. The bubble just pops up with no notification sound or vibrate. This is very annoying as you will miss responses if you simply put down the phone after sending a message. There are no other problems with notifications if you backout of the conversation window or switch to another app. This problem only occurs when you are actually in the conversation chat window. This used to work fine with Samsung Galaxy S3 but now it does not with S5.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, regressed messaging app
