I was ready to upgrade my S3 and I looked around at other phones, but since I was on my third Samsung phone with no issues and didn't feel the need to spend the extra money on the S6 (and had wanted the S5 for awhile now) it was an easy decision. Not only is the S5 easy to use and setup but it performs well and is plenty powerful. I like the new features that come with the phone and the Android 5.1.1 update, but the one thing I really like is the battery life. I've streamed music for hours on end, surfed the Web, downloaded apps and had GPS constantly running and yet still had plenty of battery life left. It's nice to be able to use the phone all day and only need to charge it once
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, battery life

Great until new update came out

I loved my phone until the new update came out because the new phone came out. It turned from great to slow, would freeze, get hot, and more.
Samsung was very helpful when I called and told me a fix would be coming out soon. Unlike my provider who just tried to sell me the newer phone.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, great cases
Cons: poor after update

My apps load really fast

My apps load really fast. The camera is great and you can add more memory where in the new versions you can't.

No doubt the best Samsung phone to date

This phone is much better than the S3 that I replaced. It's even a bit larger. Also newer and faster. The booting time is even better. Apps load much faster. A very good phone.

I've used other phones in the past and I love my S5. It's ease of use from browsing to the functionality of apps from third parties is incredible. I love the fact that my phone can interact with other devices such as televisions and appliances. Samsung, you have a great product here!
