S5 is ... ok

I had an S3, upgraded to an S5, little did I know, I would lose some features. I can not access the internet while on a phone call like I was able to with the S3...Upgrading didn't really do much except give me a new phone, no new features. I'm seriously thinking about trying to trade this one in for another soon. I just don't like it. I just don't want to waste the money so I feel that I am stuck with it at the moment.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

S-6 edge

I thought I wouldn't find a phone that liked more than my S-5 but I did. The Galaxy S-6 edge is beautiful, fast, slim and my new love. You know how you hate changing phones because you have to get it all "set-up". Well the app Samsung Switch took care of that problem and the rest of the time has been spent exploring all the cool features. It has become an overnight addiction. Couldn't be more happy unless I got it or free, but it has been worth every penny spent on it. Really I love it. I thought I would after all the YouTube videos I watched comparing it and reviewing it. It is one tough skinny glass covered phone. Out lasting its iPhone comparable in both being dropped and submerged in water. I have to have a hearty phone and this is surprisingly it. Thanks Samsung, a real winner!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, classic beauty

Exceptionally well built iPhone contender!

I have had the Galaxy S5 for about 1 month. I came from iPhone (3,4,4s,5), and made the switch to Android. Since I wanted the best possible chance for an easy-seamless transition into Android I choose Samsung's flagship phone, the Galaxy. So far, here are my impressions:
The interface and built in apps are intuitive although designed to appeal to a wider audience than those accustomed to the character of iPhone s built in apps. I did end up disabling some of the ones that didn't really apply to me. The screen is magnificent and bright, with exceptionally well engineered touch display, it is smooth and very fast when moving between home screens. Management is easy as apps can be removed from the home screen with a long press and/or uninstalled in the Applications menu. Audio is Bose quality but only if you have good headphones-the ones that came with the phone are so-so. I did struggle finding an app that would sync with iTunes-because how do you give up 10 years of iTunes and its flawless perfection (you don't), but DoubleTwist has saved the day, it syncs my whole library and playlist over wireless with ease-perfect! Since my email has always been with Gmail and work email is with Google Apps, email was a no-brainier on Android, the Gmail App is very good except for the ads. The only may gripe is the power cover, you need fingernails to open it, a small silicone knob built into the power cover would solve this problem as I sometimes find myself searching for a pen tip to pry open the cover. Charging is fast and stable. The battery life is good-to exceptional depending on how much you use the phone. If you have it on for hours a day with a lot of apps running and screen brightness at maximum, do not expect to receive the battery life in the specs, mine drops 1-3 % every 8-10 minutes of "heavy use", but luckily there are apps to help with closing CPU processes and memory intensive apps, as well as some built in features to help extend battery life. One of them is a Grey Screen setting, that is somewhat useless unless you are color blind. Who wants to look at a grey screen on one of the coolest phones in the world? Its like a Ferrari that can only go 30mph. This feature would only appeal to a handful of people.
All in all I love the phone! It took some getting used to and lots of time playing with the features until I felt confident that I understood everything. Although in the beginning I was wanting my iPhone back, I am now happy to report that I am glad I made the switch to Android, and most of all to the Samsung Galaxy S5-WELL DONE SAMSUNG!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, fast
Cons: not really any!
