My Best Cell Phone Yet

This smart phone has proven to be very reliable. The choice of apps provides nearly endless options for adding capabilities. This is the first smart phone that I consider doing a credible job accessing and searching the Internet.
Unlike the most recent releases of smart phones, this one still lets you replace batteries. This is quite useful in more remote areas where recharging is not an option. I like the water proof aspect. Recently, I took pictures and videos of the aftermath of a large hail storm and accompanying flooding. It was still raining but I did not have to worry about keeping the phone completely dry.
This phone offers many options to customize the pictures to whatever situation you are currently experiencing. This includes a full Auto mode for ease of use, HDR for a greater dynamic range of light, seamless panorama, multiple pictures to better show action, along with other options.
It also will take pictures from both sides of the camera, including doing so in one picture. It comes equipped with a decent flash.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, accessing the internet, gps and other location capabilities, super battery saver mode works great!
Cons: heavy use will drain the battery in 12 hours or so
I would recommend this to a friend!

Coming from a Iphone, this product is great.
Download speeds are much better and screen is easier to read.
The only thing i need to get use to, is the size of the phone. Not a big deal

I like my s5 because is a great cellphone the camera, I like the waterproof and the USB 3.0, everything except the finger print is excellent is the best phone I have.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, waterproof, is big, usb 3.0
Cons: fingerprint

So Disappointed

I had a Galaxy S4 and loved it. When the S4 started to fail - I replaced it with the S5 and have regretted it ever since. I've had nothing but issues with how the phone operates - won't download pictures, the user interface is not intuitive. This may just be the phone that gets me to switch to iPhone.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To buy an S6 or S5

I was going to go for the latest and greatest - the S6 (not really thrilled with the Edge design), but after learning about the inability to replace the battery and add an SD card, I went for the S5. I read about all the issues with Lollipop on the S5, but figured I'll stay with KitKat. Unfortunately, I was "forced" to upgrade or at least was unable to find a way to avoid the upgrade.
Anyway, maybe it's because it was new out-of-the-box and the upgrade was done before I started to add apps, but as of now (about 1 month), no issues! Everything is fine. Speed is as expected, battery life is good (getting about 2 days before charging), etc.
So my bottom line is that I'm glad I chose the S5 over the S6.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product put out by Samsung, having had 2 of these within the past year. Best features I would say is definitely the camera quality. Even family members who are devoted I-Phone owners are reluctant to admit the superior ability of the SG5!!!!

Great Phone

I am very impressed with this phone. It has a good battery life and charges fast. However, the screen overheats sometimes and the S voice feature does not work all that well
