This is my 1st Samsung phone & I must say I'am enjoyn it to the fullest. it's everything my friends said it was.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Too big

Best option for a smartphone

The Galaxy S5 performs even better than expected. The ultra power saving mode has saved me so many times. This is the first smartphone that I have owned that lasts more than one day. The snapdragon 801 provides extremely fast speed allowing me to do more on my phone than ever before. Altogether, the Galaxy S5 combines the best hardware and software on the market to make the best phone available.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, fast charging, great battery life
Cons: fingerprint scanner struggles to work

I love the phone but I hate the battery

Samsung should know when they are making power full device it's gonna need more juice in battery I hate battery runs out because of same reason I moved from iPhone 5 to Samsung this wort experience I had with Samsung they do something about it.

Galaxy S5-good and bad

When I also actively use my galaxy as a WiFi hotspot for work in the field the battery runs dry within 8 hours, even faster if I would browse the net continuously.
I'm not saying these battery saver options are useless. I merely take issue with the implied statement that the battery of the S5 doesn't even last a day without using power saving mode, which does not reflect my experience at all.
The fingerprint scanner and the heart rate monitor, on the other hand, need some work. Each delivers inconsistent results and can be quite frustrating to use.
It's lighter and probably more hard-wearing but this is the biggest pain point for Samsung and it's one that it needs to improve with the Galaxy S6.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: finicky fingerprint sensor, internal speaker low quality, water and dust cover is tricky to open

Using the samsung galaxy S5 as my day to day personal phone has been amazing! I love the using the heart rate monitor after a good jog around the block a few times! Then the fingerprint scanner makes a great quick and secure way to access my phone without having to put in my password. I especially love the camera how I can easily focus on an image like my chinchilla!
