Worse than g3
on August 1, 2014
Posted by: Androiduser33637
Bought this phone because after a year and a half my G3 was doing crazy stuff, bogging down, restarting itself, getting hot. First day of using G5, even though processor is stronger, it still bogs down while using music player, does not reset or anything strange, but memory usage kills Bluetooth periodically and gets really hot off and on, even without a case. Good phone for being a sleek model, very light, but the glitches are really irritating.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A major improvement over my last phone

Moved up from a less expensive Samsung smart phone & am mostly pleased. However, the transfer of data from the old phone to the S5 didn't go well & between then & now & the Outlook Android sync program I'm using the contacts are still not correct. And now many times when I try to get a contact I'm told Contacts has stopped working.
Overall I'm sure I will get it sorted out but its been frustrating!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, apps or programs stop working.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loving It!

I just upgraded from my Galaxy S3 to the Galaxy S5... I am loving the new S5. Much quicker then my S3 (even with all the same apps installed), the slightly larger screen is great and it's in black! When the S3 came out on Verizon, it was just in white or blue...
The new camera is good, maybe after playing with it, I'll like it more.
The down side is the ridge around the face of the phone, it doesn't feel good on the fingers after two years of the S3 with a smooth face and the chrome ring might look better in black. Right now it reminds me of a 1950's dinner table... And the heart rate app is a bit off... Reads my heart at 115 bpm one moment and 54 the next?
The rest is GREAT!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: ridge around screen
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Phone

Love this phone and everything it offers to a not so techy guy. Bright screen, able to handle sunlight without the blank screen you sometimes get on sunny days. Easy to grasp all the apps/functions in no time at all. Speakers work well for calls and music. Even comes with a heart monitor and ways to help improve your health. This phone is the TRUTH!
I upgraded from a S3 and glad I waited for this phone. Only issue is the price, but it is basically a computer.
Pros: Bright display, Durable
Cons: cost
