I like it (when it works).

A little background on the use of this TV: It is not used very often. The timer on the TV says I have used it for 519 minutes (8.65 hours) and I have owned it for approximately a year and a half.
Quality:
When I first bought the TV the HDMI1 input was not working. I called the 800 number and they sent someone out and it was covered under warranty.

It has been approximately 11 months and now I am having problems with the same input (HDMI1). Now it makes a crackling/popping noise and white flashes appear on the screen.
I am also having another issue that started a couple weeks ago: there are approximately three rows of pixels at the top of the screen that are not working, so there are black lines across the screen.
As far as the picture quality, it has a great picture. No issues with the colors, overall a great picture. The controls are very easy to use and understand. I also like the USB input, it makes it very convenient to view pictures and movies on the TV vs. using a smaller screen such as a laptop.
I am just a little disappointed with all the problems I have had, considering how I have used the TV for such a short period of time.
I have had other LG products and had no issues. I probably would not get this model again but I would purchase another LG product.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a great tv. Worst thing about it is the weight of it. Because its a plasma it has a glass screen. The outer shell is made of metal. This also contributes to its weight. I know what you're thinking, "That's it?" That's it. Not a big problem. On the flip side, because its made of metal it is very durable. I have moved several times and in the process you bang the sides of a wall or two in the process. The front screen is still very delicate, I would advise extra caution. You may consider keeping the box if you need to transport it. Now let us talk about its profile. Its so thin!!!! love it!!! even thinner than my outgoing LCD!!! Yes, I had an older LCD, but still I was ecstatic. I love all the functions and features of this TV. The automatic functions are welcome addition compared to what I was used to. I like that I can turn the display off but still have the sound signal pass through to my home theater system. This way I can listen to music for hours without worrying about burn in.
Overall, if you are on the fence about this TV, I would highly recommend it. I am not sure what it is selling for now, but I got is for a great price 2 days before Christmas a year ago.
