My wife and I have really been impressed with this product. we placed it in an area that got a view of a door and some of our more valuable items. As soon as we leave, it activates automatically and disarms automatically. Since we have owned it we had a day where we were all gone and one of us left the back door cracked, the camera picked up the motion of the wind blowing the curtains and we knew to run back and lock the back door! Now that I have this, why do I need a security system? I can see if someone comes in, I can instantly dial 911 from the app... it is a simple piece of mind.

Detectors died in one year

I have only had this set for one year and both of the detectors now have dead batteries. They were supposed to last ten years. The camera works fine but it doesn’t work for three months without needing a charge.

Kidde decided to sunset the camera in the app and now I have multiple cameras no better than a paperweight. Fair warning to any other smart device by this company who doesn't care about its customers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have 5 of these and they lose connection with the wireless router. Wireless range is limited and a disappointment. Can't use in my garage.

Excellent Simple Camera

This is by far the easiest alert security system I have ever used, very cost effective and the battery last forever, simple to turn monitoring on and off.. note its only 30 seconds, but do you really need more to see whats going on at your pad.. if you see some illegal stuff going on,, call 911? or if you want to catch that dog taking food off the counter, etc. I highly recommend, I have been using for 2 years, great little security camera with intruder alert and night vision to scare off intruders, I only wish it integrated with Ring and Alexa.

Good potential, but not the best video quality

Ease of use is good, but the video quality is not always great in anything less than bright light. In low light situations, or when the subject is somewhat backlit by light coming through the windows, the video quality is uneven, even with the onboard light enabled.
There also is an issue with Geo Fencing that causes the software to incorrectly report my location as being about 1/2 mile west of my actual location. This means that I have to use the largest possible area in "Arm by Location" otherwise the software thinks I am away when I am actually in my home. I have an open case with Kidde on that. My iPhone Maps app drops a pin literally on my roof, so I am not sure where Kidde is getting its location data, but for me it is inaccurate.
The fact that the cameras only enable on motion is fine, since I was not looking for 24/7 streaming, but the inability for the camera to work through glass limits its usefulness.
On the plus side, being truly wireless is a great feature, as you can place the cameras wherever you like. And, because the camera only records when motion is detected, the battery life has been great. I have had the cameras for close to one month, and the batteries are still showing over 50% charge.

Camera is working good - exactly as noted in its instructions

I am generally happy with this camera / like the battery life / alarm notification via "e" mail / like auto on set when I leave the area / wish it had a adjustable wider angle lens / wish I could view it live rather than just a recording. Rich
