Nice backpack but disappointing quality

I really like this backpack for its generous size and key features: strap for a suitcase handle, side pockets for drinks; several outer pockets for small items (though I wish it had compression straps - the only thing it is missing). However I am disappointed at the quality. My previous backpack (from a different company) lasted for many years. This is not very old but out of warranty, and the zipper on one of the compartments broke. The teeth just pulled out from the tape so it can't be repaired. Bummer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use this backpack for work purposes. I travel 80 to 90 percent with my job and this is a great backpack for traveling. It easily fits overhead or under the airplane seat. It is sturdy and comfortable on my shoulders and back. I love the suitcase handle on the back. It holds all of my goods including a portable monitor and laptop. The cushioned laptop pocket keeps my laptop and portable monitor protected from bumps. It has a sturdy handle so that I can hang it on bathroom stalls without worrying about the weight of the backpack breaking the handle. I only wish it had more zippers/pockets to hold items, especially smaller items. It has only 2 small pockets and then the main pocket and laptop pocket.
Pros: Adequate Capacity, Attractive, Lightweight, Secure Design, Well Built / Quality

Great Bag would give 5 Stars but Zipper broke.

Best Backpack I ever had, however the Zip broke after a year. I am having a hard time trying to get it repaired. I have brought two other Backpacks as replacements, but this Bag is by far the best. I could have saved money just ordering another one.
Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, Lightweight, Stylish
Cons: Bad Zippers

I've used a computer carrying case for years. It always seemed very heavy and it regularly slid off my shoulder. I had to use one arm to manage it. I switched to this backpack that will hold my 17 inch laptop and everything else I had in my carrying case. I just used the backpack for the first time on a trip to New York City. It was comfortable to wear, didn't seem as heavy as the carrying case and freed both my hands and arms. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Great bag, has plenty of storage. The only downside is there is no velcro strap to confidently hold your pc from slipping out. I like the gray bag, as it is easy to identify, as most other people carry black. I am looking forward to travel with this bag as it can slip over the pull handle of a carry on bag.
