This is the worst crockpot I've ever owned. The low setting is so hot, my stew was boiling - and it was almost completely full, so there was plenty of food in there. I read below someone else had the same issue and the reply was "food temperature regulations." Yeah, right. So why is there a warm setting? That setting is barely warm and it would surely be worse to keep food at temperature than a decent "low" setting that doesn't boil your food. Hopefully there's something better out there.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear you had such an unsatisfying experience with your new slow cooker. The Warm setting is in place merely to be switched to when your food has reached its desired doneness, and you should never attempt to cook your food on the Warm setting. It is true that the product will reach a boil (or near boiling depending on what you're cooking) on both the High and Low settings. The main difference between these two settings is the amount of time it takes for the slow cooker to reach that peak temperature. It's about 3-4 hours on High, and 7-8 hours on Low. I hope this helps you understand the product a bit better, and that future experiences using it will achieve a more positive result. Thank you.

Crock cracked

I'm very disappointed that the crock cracked while I was cooking food. I searched for an 8qt slow cooker, and thought the original Crock Pot brand would give me a good product that would last for a long time. I've owned this for less than a year.
I didn't hear any 'pops', but when I pulled the crock out to wash it, there was a considerable amount of cooked material on the bottom of the cooking until. I then searched, and found several cracks in the crock.
I came to the website to purchase a replacement crock, only to learn it is not for sale. I will not make another purchase with this company, as long as they don't sell replacement crocks.

I bought this 8 quart crockpot three weeks ago. Had a large pot roast that I would normally have to stack in my old crockpot. This one was large enough to put both pieces on the bottom of it. Turned out fantastic. If you are constantly running out of space you need this one. :)

This crock pot is SO nice! I can cook for a crowd or cook just for two and freeze meals with the rest of it. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some of the more expensive ones do, but that's why I chose it. ON, OFF, HI, LOW, WARM. Perfect for my needs and it's really pretty! Only one thing (which is to be expected considering it's size) it's heavy when it's full of food! BUT, it's worth it. I'm so glad I bought it!

I've used it a few times and it works well. The silver part seems a little cheap (like a thin piece of tin) and I don't like how there's no red light to tell you that it's on or any kind of timer but I think it was worth the money.

Big, Black and Beautiful. Large capacity (eight quarts) was the purpose of this particular purchase. This Crock cooks a little fast/hot while utilizing the Low setting (make your own personal adjustments).

I recently bought two 8-quart Crock-Pots. I usually have both Crock-Pots going, because I like to cook large quantities of food, divide it into portions and freeze it, lots of soups, roasts, etc. Then dinner prep after a long day is easy! I also have a 5-quart Crock-Pot and a 1-1/2-quart. Sounds like a lot of cooking, but with just a little planning, the cooking takes care of itself and makes my life easier!

Cooked an eight and a half pound whole sirloin tip roast in four hours to perfection. Tender and moist, one of the best roasts I've ever cooked. Love this eight quart Crock Pot and the price can't be beat!
