No volume control on alarm setting

I bought this mainly because I wanted digital station setting. That part works great, however, there is no volume control on the alarm clock. I like waking up to a radio, but not a blaring radio! It starts off soft but then gets louder and louder until I shut it off. Hate this feature and it cannot be modified!

Looks good but the blinking minute hour separator is really annoying - why did Philips think that was a desirable feature, it constantly flashes. I’m sure it’s losing time too. I set it to the time on my phone and this morning it’s 2 minutes slower.

Volume Control

The issues already stated concerning volume problems should have Phillips yanking them from the shelves. Sound is great, wasn't too hard to set it up. But having so little adjustability with the sound is causing me to return it for a more thought out model.
Sure, I'll get my money back, but who pays me for the time involved to discover such an inferior product? I'll tell you who, another manufacturer who brings me a good product above my expectations and makes this loss worth the effort. That will pay me back, and Phillips loses in the end.

This product has a wonderful look - large screen! Very disappointed in the complexity of this clock radio. The directions are simple, but have found it challenging to operate.
Pros: large screen
Cons: too complex to operate.

alarm volume

I like to begin my day by waking to the news. When the station comes on it increases in volume to the point where it is too loud. In order to control the volume I have to shut off the alarm and turn on the radio. That seems unnecessary, I'd rather be able to have the alarm volume controlled.

Finally got the alarm feature to work, but I don't need it to work every day.Difficult. so far, to set which days the alarm should go of.
Pros: easy to see in the dark.

Horrible usability

It's amazing that Philips has the gall to tout "convenience" as main feature of this product. Every time I have to set the time on this clock I have a breakdown as there is no intuitive design, which buttons to hold or press in order to change the time, if I should hold one button while pressing another simultaneously or not. And the blinking hour/minute divider is very annoying. I got this as a gift, otherwise I would have returned it immediately. Good thing I saved my 20+ year old alarm clock which still works as a charm.

Cons: horrible to use, blinking hour/minute divider, difficult to set the time, poor manual

Not a great alarm feature ...

Once you set an alarm, it rings forever at that time, unless you change it to ring another time - there is no "zero hour" in the time choices. I had to catch a flight last week and it rang at 4:00 a.m. as I had set it. But when I returned, it rang at 4:00 a.m the next day, and the next day, and so on, until I grabbed the thing and punched in a later ring time.
It's also trial and error to guess whether the alarm wil. Ring in a.m or p.m., a very poor design. How did this pass approval?

One good thing is the sound quality - this has good speakers. However, I need a reliable alarm clock, and this just doesn't do that.
