Wow..Love this new refrigerator. Roomier than our old built in. Right of the bat runs super quiet and less frequent. The shelf space is ideal and holds more. When our old built in refrigerator was having problems (different brand) the repairman recommended Kitchen-Aid and one other. He said he has the fewest calls for these 2 brands. After doing some comparisons, the Kitchen-Aid came out on Top personally. Have only had it a month, but so far Love, Love, Love it. Hope to update this review as time goes by.

ice maker broke twice in 2 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this thing brand new and the ice maker went out in the first 2 weeks. We then had it fixed, and 1 month later, the ice maker broke again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent design and function

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator replaced a much huger priced 18 year old Sub Zero. So far the features , quietness and performance of the unit meet or exceed that unit. I purchased you KitchenAid since it was much cheaper than replacing with a new Sub Zero. I hope the following years show that the Kitchenaid will last as long as my old Sub Zero !

New handles and inside lighting

Nice Looking but Unreliable

I bought this refrigerator model approx 13 years ago. During this time period, I have had several failures resulting in food loss and much expense. The electronic board (the brains) has failed 3 times, the water filter connector seal failed causing a leak on my hardwood floors (floor buckled by the way), ice maker motor has failed twice. For the price of this unit, quality should be much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
