Does not work on Lenovo T520 Win7-64bit

I bought this card so I could backup my computer to my Seagate USB 3.0 external Drive. The card appears to work immediately after initial install of drivers and host controller. The problem is that once you unplug the drive or reboot the computer the system becomes nearly unresponsive, everything moves very slow as either the host controller or driver keeps failing and reloading. As soon as eject the card, the system returns to normal. The only way to make the card work again is to uninstall the driver and host controller and re-install fresh..
