Poor design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried really hard to love this washing machine, but every load, I'm left frustrated. There is a rubbery liner by the door with a 2 inch pocket. I'm not sure of the function, but it continually causes socks and underwear to be caught during the wash cycle and as a result, not get washed. They end up soaking wet, as they don't go through the spin cycle. I've tried putting all the smaller items in first, way in the back, but they always end up stuck. For this same reason, any pod detergents also end up here. This leaves a sticky get mess to clean out if this pocket, and no detergent washing the clothes. While this is really the only problem with the washer, it's a huge design flaw. I am looking to find something new and I've only had it for a month. So disappointing! I have 3 small children, so every wash includes small items. I wish I could return this washer and go back to my top loader.

Great working machine. But there is a tremendously loud buzz that we think happens from the water pump. It's done it since the first load.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No spin cycle starting with 2nd wash. Hard to get "drain & spin" to work. Ended up pulling out half of loads and some wringing in tub. Now working better but only using small loads. Awaiting service.

Long wait

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Be prepared for a LONG wait. A load washed in cold water with medium soil takes over an hour. A normal load still takes 47 minutes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was told it would not stack under my existing dryer and that I would have to buy a new dryer. A box ix a box is a box and after getting dimensions of new washer...guess what...the old "box" dryer fits on top of the new "box" washer just fine! Whirlpool you should be ashamed of ourself for lying and pushing people to buy more product then they want or need.

I've had this washer for three years now & the spin motor has died twice. The first year, it died exactly one year and two months after installation. It's now died one year and one month from when it was repaired. The first repair was covered, but I've been told I have to pay for this repair. Doesn't seem right that I should have to pay for a faulty product.

4.2 cu.ft. Compact Front Load Washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this model because it had the same dimensions as my old Whirlpool Duet machine. I loved my old unit very much. My washer and dryer go in an under the counter cabinet in my downstairs bathroom and there are closing doors to hide the machine. It is a tight fit. Although it lists as the same size it doesn't allow me to close the doors to my cabinet all the way anymore. It seems to be the extra thickness at the bottom of the door frame on the washer. I'm a little upset as I would expect it to fit as the other machine. It has less cleaning options than my old machine. I can not change the time of the wash cycles and it is a more basic model with only a few options for cleaning cycles to start with. Things wash well and spin out well. It's an OK machine, not a great one. The door is also not as solid as the old machine. I'm union and it says "made in America," so I bought it. I've had the washer for about a month and a half, may it hold up as well as the old Whirlpool. I'm thinking it will not.
