Best Computer Speakers I've Ever Owned!

My boyfriend bought these for me a couple years ago and they are still going strong. Sound quality is amazing and it gives a nice surround sound effect. Bluetooth range could be a little better but it doesn't stop me from using them. I am so happy with these and I think they are just as good as Bose and a heck of a lot cheaper!!!

Good sound, one rotten feature

I agree with another reviewer that the auto-turn-off feature is poorly conceived and I find it very annoying. A computer has many small, useful event sounds that aren't loud enough to bring the Jembe system back to audio. I would LOVE to turn that feature off permanently. How about a fix from JBL?

These speakers are awesome

I bought these speakers on sale for $20. They are great. Everyone that complained about the auto-shut off feature is silly. It turns off when it does not detect any output. To solve this, just put the volume on your device to full and use the speaker to adjust the volume.
These little speakers sound great. They deceptively sound like big speakers.
Try them.

The sound is great ... when it actually plays. It has an auto-off feature that kicks in only after a few minutes but requires a manual adjustment every time. After only a month this has now turned into a short in the speakers and only plays for a few seconds at a time. Extremely disappointed since the price is higher than direct competitors. Stick with Logitech or something cheaper than this.

Irritating to own

I'm going to concur with the other reviews. These speakers would be nice, if only they would stay on. For whatever reason, they've included some kind of auto shut off that doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to it. Presumably, it's when it gets too quiet, and doesn't think it needs to be on. But I've had it go quiet on me where there was clearly sound present.
Then, to get them to turn back on, you have to either rotate the volume to turn it off, and then back on again, or wait for your video to create a loud enough noise for the speakers to indicate that it's time to turn back on again. Who knows what you've missed by that point.
This is something that was probably created with a noble intent, but they've failed in its execution. When they operating, the sound quality is quite nice, and they did their job of reducing the amount of desk space that was being taken up by my very old component speakers. Which was really what I wanted them for. Unfortunately, any good qualities they have are seriously overwhelmed by this, what I consider, a major design flaw. Which is equally a shame, because they're not cheap.

i travel a lot. these bad boys are awesome. wires are needed, of course, to power the speakers. duh. the bluetooth works just fine. i can move around easily holding my ipad, iphone, laptop, without having any wires being connected to it. the sound quality is great. i just wished it was a bit louder. that's because i love to listen to my music really loud. ha! but for a travel size, bluetooth wireless speaker, i have no complaints. people are fascinated how good the sound quality is when i bring these speakers out.

Auto Power Off - Annoying - If no fix, I'm returni
on January 3, 2014

I love the speakers... when they actually are working. But the speakers have an 'auto-off'/power save mode that kicks in apparently at random. If the speakers detect there's no sound coming from them, they go into power save. Unfortunately, they do this even when there is actually sound playing. This makes the product very irritating and essentially useless. Hopefully JBL is monitoring these reviews and can provide a fix. If I can't get this fixed soon, I'm returning and spending my money somewhere else.
