Poor Design

Bought a new spacemaker toaster oven to replace an older B&D model. Had to drill new holes in the cabinets because the holes did not match up and were not even close. The old oven slid right off the shield guard, very nice design. The new oven is designed so it catches in the front and back. It's not nearly as easy and convenient. The engineering department should be lined up for a group slap. Hopefully it operates easier than the installation process. I have a feeling it does not. Needed spacers for the back two holes due to the cabinet overhang in the front. The spacers just fall off the screws unlike the old ones that stayed in place. Was able to reuse the old spacers. Very poorly designed. At least it does save counter space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great little oven

This new model replaced the one we had for 14 years. Digital control and timer take a little getting used to. Mounting was simple, all holes lined up with the template. For our cabinetry, mounting required longer bolts. They had them to us in 2 days. Used it now for a couple of months and love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Updated my old B&D under counter toaster oven

Old one (which I had forever) was easier to use (turn the dial push button) and had a broiler feature. This digital one looks nice and works well (no broiler) although a little more complex (a bit of a learning curve; still have to look at the directions to program oven temp/toast).
I would recommend this to a friend!
