This sharpener is quite different from the earlier ones I have owned. It uses a steel in the middle slot where the sharpening wheels were on my other sharpeners. So it is important to read the instructions when you order this one. It works great but you cannot use it like the older models.

I have owned this product for 2 years. It puts the sharpest edge I can imagine quickly and efficiently. It’s relatively small (will fit in a drawer), quick to set up, relatively intuitive to use and produces superb result. Not only do sharp knives reduce frustration, they’re much safer to use. The price is excellent for the value of the product.

It is quiet expensive but if u want good knives in the kitchen and you use them a lot its definitely an investment to make. They work so well and make the knives sharp and so smooth when cutting. Absolutely worth it and would definitely recommend. Easy to use the instructions are written clearly and for knives that even have ridges. Which is awesome!

I have sharpened every knife in the house! This is my new favorite device plus it is very stylish so it looks good sitting on the countertop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Is it necessary to have an electric knife sharpener? It is when you older but still want your chefs knife sharp. We have a professional chef in the family and she approves of the sharper. She said it did as good as a job when she uses sharpening stones.

This is the first time I am using this device and very impressed with the quality and how amazingly it works. I sharpen my house knives at home it works great. My old knives are new again and cut vegetables very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few weeks ago for my 2 year old block straight knives. First, I used the sharpener part. Then, I used the buffering part. My old knives now work like new or better. Be careful though with children. The knives are super sharp when 1st done. I don't have to buy new knives now.
