We are essentially happy with this knife set, but with some caveats. The blades take an edge well. The variety of blade shapes, etc. are mostly good, particularly the large chef's knife. Having the steak knives in the same block is handy. We do wish there was a small paring knife like we had in our previous set—a 2 1/2" blade was very handy. The steel seems to stain easily, and can be hard to clean. Using a soft scrub sponge scratched up the finish on the blades, and the stains remain on them. But, for the price, I think we'll be happy with our purchase.

These knives are sharp. I’ve never owned knives this sturdy and sharp. I received as a gift and LOVE them. My son in law slices our turkey for holidays. He bought me a new knife set this year.

So far this has been a great knife set. We replacesd a much inferior set and have been very pleased with this knife set. The knives are relatively sharp and have a nice heafty feel in the hand. I have not used all of the knives yet but so far so good.

So far, so good! Been using this set for about a month now and love the chefs knife especially! Very sharp, no need to sharpen yet. Scissors are nice and sharp too. Hand washing only, no rust, but some water staining/spotting after air drying. We replaced JA Henckels set (5 years old) with these and like them much better so far!
