Braun Beard Trimmer PT5010

Before receiving the Braun PT5010 beard trimmer, I wondered how it was going to work and how well it would work. After using it I am highly impressed. Its very precise and on point and works very well. A very clean trim everytime. It is a very well maintainable trimmer and very simple to clean up. With the two different attatchments that comes with it, it makes it even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend the Braun Beard Trimmer PT5010 to anyone looking for precision, a very reliable trimmer, and a simple trim everytime.

Braun Precision Trimmer the Little Wonder...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this Braun Precision Trimmer is just what the beard ordered! Its light nimble and easy to pack for a trip. It works as expected for a little edge trim, mustache areas and such it works great. Don't expect it to take down a full beard or stache... The two different attachments work well, allowing precise length control for different areas and also maybe eyebrows? Overall a solid unit with great battery life, best thing is if the battery goes dead, just swap it out in 2 seconds and your back in business.

Quick Little Pocket Trimmer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Braun to review. I think right off the bat I will say that it is great for traveling. This little guy will fit in any bag. It is a tiny trimmer with a over so you don't have to worry about the head getting damaged.
For a small package it works pretty well with light trimming. I used it mostly for edging my beard and it did a good job.
With that being said, the trimmer overall feels very cheap and toyish... A bit on the delicate side. It takes one battery. The compartment opens up and battery fits in fine. I found that the two guards that it came with were useless for me. The sizes are almost too particular. No adjusting. It's either they work or they won't and for me it was the latter.
My biggest issue was that there has been a few times where the trimmer would not turn on when using the power button. On off on off.. nothing. I would have to remove the actual head part of the trimmer and put back on and then it would turn on.
Overall I would suggest this item for someone on the go that just needs a very quick and light trim around the edges. Durability is yet to be determined.

Pleasantly surprised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trimmer was sent to be by Braun to test out. It runs on one AAA battery that it comes with. It says it has about 120 minutes of trim time, I have actually shaved with this a few times and it is still as powerful as if it has a fresh battery. It also comes with 2 trimming combs so you can trim some length instead of to the skin. Finally in the package was a blade cover and it snaps on easily and protects the blade from hitting anything if you decide to place it in a drawer instead of on the counter in its included stand. As for the power it emits when cutting, WOW, it cut the hair easily and smoothly. I have a larger electric shaver that i normally use but this trimmer cut closer and easier than the bigger one. It will also trim around your neck to get the areas between haircuts.

Does not work as well with thick beards.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You have to go really slow and took forever to trim my whole beard. I took a break halfway. Then when I went to turn it back on it would not turn on. When I took the clips off to shape my beard. It cut really well. I would recommend this product to people that don't have thick beards.

Not so sharp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Given that I have to shave every few days, I rely on a product that can trim my beard, mustache, and sideburns, while also cutting off the hairs that grow on my neck. Normally I use clippers to take care of the job, but I was open to see if another product would do the job or even better.
Upon opening the product, it continuously reminded me of a toothbrush due to its design. It packs some power although only being run from a single AAA battery which was included. I didn't use the combs as the trim job that I was doing that morning didn't require them, but I'm sure the power output from the trimmer would sufficiently cut through. I tend to get a lot of facial hair so the size of the trimmer caused the job I normally take trimming my hair to take longer than usual. The blades aren't as sharp as described, but they can make a definitive line around the beard.
I also used the bare blade to do some touch up work on my wife's eyebrows. I felt that they were more suitable for smaller jobs like that. My wife was pleasantly surprised with the result.

The trimmer also comes with a stand that's great for it's purpose. However, storage for the comb tools are left without a storage mechanism beyond the packaging that the whole system comes with making those tools easy to lose as they are relatively small.

Flawless Beard Trimmer!

It feels really durable and it works really good. It gives you two options for longer or shorter hair. It also comes with a stand to put right on your counter top. I received this trimmer for free from Braun for a unbiased review of there product.
