Braun HC5090 Hair Clipper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this clipper from Braun at the perfect time; my old one (a cheapie from a different company) had just died.
I have now had the Braun for just over a week, and so far I am impressed. Over the years, I have had a number of clippers, ranging in quality from very cheap, to professional grade...and I would put the Braun towards the top of list (so far).
The Braun HC5090 charges quickly and then retains that charge very well. It cuts effectively and efficiently with no hair-snagging or bogging down whatsoever. The guides are easy to use and provide a nice uniform cut. A nice feature is the plug itself...unlike many others, it does NOT block the other plug while charging. Cleaning is easy, and Braun claims that the entire unit can be rinsed off with water (providing you allow it to dry completely afterwards).
After one week of use, I would rate the Braun HC5090 as an 8, on a scale of 1-10. So far...I would recommend this clipper to both family and friends; it has been a very pleasant surprise.

I really love that has battery life of 50 minutes is super fast to load it is super easy to handle for greater ease when cut. It also brings double feed safety system and more accessories wao I'm excited because it is my first campaign I am extremely happy and grateful to get a top quality product will give you a good use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Broan for testing and review. First impression opening the box was great; small, lightweight, not bulky, pre charged ready to go, "clean" looking, and not many small parts to loose. The clippers come with a cleaning brush, blade oil, a storage bag, charger and stand, and two guards (short/long hair). The unit cuts great, I have thick hair and it moves along with no problems. The box claims "lifetime lasting sharp blades", but I could see the blades wearing down after a year or two of my thick hair. The unit can be used both corded and cordless, which is great because I prefer to use it in the shower or tub. On a full charge, I didn't notice any loss of cutting power. It has a battery indicator that's shows full charge and low battery, which is great for preventing overcharging. It's also washable, so I didn't hesitate to use it while in the shower (cordless mode), and I didn't see any loss in performance. The only drawback is that the lockable guards aren't truly lockable. They never slipped while I was using it, but they can be moved without pressing the button to adjust them. All in all this is a good product, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable hair trimmer.

Great crlippers Braun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just finished my first trim with the new clippers ! Very nice set. Adjustable guard works great and the clippers are sharp! Cord length is long for the charger and should reach any near by outlet. It's light weight,looks good, and feels good in your hands. Haven't had any problems with losing the charge fast and with it being water proof its easy to clean. Thanks Braun

Really nice rechargeable hair trimmer

I have short hair and use a corded device similar to the Braun so I was anxious to try this one out. Right out of the box, it fits nicely in my hand. Cordless is the ticket! I usually cut my hair in the garage or out on the deck to ease the cleanup. No more running extension cords. After a quick charge, I went at it and was pleasantly surprised at how well the cordless HC5090 worked. Usually these types of hair cutters miss some hair, but the Braun HC5090 did GREAT! If you remove the guard, the HC5090 does a great job trimming my sideburns as well as the fuzz on the back of my neck. I only used the device on my head, but it would be equally as effective using it to manscape your other body hair. I have used the device 2 times now without recharging so I believe the battery will be able to hold it's own for several more uses before requiring recharging. I also use a Braun electric razor and have always been a fan of the Braun name and quality of their products. I highly recommend the HC5090.

Easy as it gets!

Great quality and extra precise. I used these to trim my beard and it did not dissapoint. Totally worth the purchase.

Good Cordless Hair Trimmer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I have been using an electric hair trimmer to shave my chest hair, armpits, and the small of my back. My old trimmer was corded, heavy, and made your hand shake while using it. This was not the case with the Braun Hair Clipper HC5090. The Braun Hair Clipper HC5090 is a lightweight, cordless hair trimmer. When I was using it it glided smoothly against my skin and did not get "caught" like my old trimmer tended to do sometimes. This caused a quicker shave and one with fewer irritations of my skin. Two negatives about the product though. First, the lowest setting with the guard is 3mm. My prior trimmer allowed for a closer shave. 3mm is still very close, but I would like to be able to get a closer shave without having to take the guard off. The other negative is that the bag is small, flimsy, and looks cheap. The bag is basically a thin plastic and really is not big enough to put everything in it (I have everything shoved in there and it doesn't really fit). All and all, the the Braun Hair Clipper HC5090 is a nice trimmer and I would recommend it to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These clippers are amazing! I was a little skeptical of the sliding guards instead of the ones that clip on. But these have surprised me! I use clippers often as I keep my hair short so I cut my hair with clippers myself (or by my wife) at least once a month. These were so simple! What I really like is that it is cordless. The kind I had prior to these had to be plugged in. Usually when I cut my hair, I do it outside as to not get hair clippings everywhere. I would have to use a drop cord to bring it outside. Not with these!! I'm totally in love with these clippers and have recommended them to plenty of my buddies since having a chance to use it.
