This is definitely not what we would expect from the HC5090. All of our products should have a life of 3-5 years. It may be helpful to know that the HC5090 would also automatically come with a 2 year warranty. We would be happy to help you get this started. Please give us a call at (800) 272-8611.

additional combs & new design

i've been cutting my hair for about 4 or 5 years by myself and last one year with braun hc5090. ovelall quality is high, yet there are some cons that needed to be improved -most in the future products. 1. the blade width is narrower than the market standards. i guess that's because the need of extra power but it can be solved by adding a greater battery. 2. the design of the comb adjustment button can become a mess quite easily. i mean while trimming you can simply press it accidentally and change the your adjustment very easily. that's a big design problem about the product. 3. well that's not a con actually. i hope you think about additional combs for longer hair trimming for those who finds even the 14-35mm comb is shorter, like me. i want to cut my hair much longer yet the option is very limited but you can solve this by producing additional combs. 4. continuing with the combs, i want to use hc5090 with beard trimming yet its performance isn't fulfilling with beard trimming. additional combs can solve this problem as well. 5. in this case another design problem is showing for future designs if you guys out there to decide to develop a wider blade width product : narrower blades is more compatible with beard trimming yet this can be solved as well wtih some " extraordinary" comb designs. anyways, for hc5090; its a good product with some important design failure. yet overall quality is high. if you guys decide to develop additional beard triimming specialized and longer hair adjustment combs i really really appreciate that. hope you guys take this consideration.

Great quality!!!

I have used another hair clippers and most of them had an issue with the sharpness of the blades after a while. With this new blades, Braun would last for much longer than the competitive products. Also the battery seem to be a good feature, together with the washable function, which I think is a handy option for cleaning. Overall, very good hair clipper.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If this doesn't do the trick, could you please try shaving with it while it's plugged in? Braun Hair Clipper HC5090 is a must have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received some awesome hair clipper from Braun and believe it or not, it was free! I was sent it to try out Braun's HC5090 hair clippers. It was everything and more of what I want in hair clippers. It is cordless and rechargeable, which is absolutely wonderful. I have many times dealth with other clippers with a cord. The cord gets in your way or you are limited to only use them near an outlet and sometimes the cord isn't even that long causing it hard to maneuver the clippers around. With Braun Hair Clipper HC5090 you don't have to worry about any of that. It does a rapid 5 minute charge and your free to move around and it makes it so much easier to use the clippers. It also comes with 2 rechargeable batteries that will give you constant power for 50 minutes. Unlike many other hair clippers on the market today this product by Braun has 17 length settings. Much more than most available. You just attach the hair comb to the razor and adjust the length setting you want. It is so easy to change the length and you choose the length right on the clippers themselves instead of having to attach several different combs to the razor like most other brands use. It really is minimal and simple to use. The blades are sharp and have a dual powered cutting system which means a better cut without having to go over the same spots over and over again. One of the biggest problems with hair clippers is not only having to go over the same spot but many pull hair which hurts. At our household we use them on our 7 year boy. He hates getting his hair clipped because may clippers pull the hair out making it hurt him. This causes not only pain but makes him move around and sometimes cry. We had no problem at all with the Braun HC5090 Hair Clippers. Dry eyes, happy face and superb cut! We gave him a nice cut, not too short and he never once complained or shrieked in pain. After the cut he said that was the best cut he ever had and was no longer afraid to use the clippers to cut his hair only if we used the Braun Hair Clippers. After the cutting cleaning up is so easy because the razor is fully washable! You can't do that with the old clippers. Not only will you get a comfortable precise cut but this product comes with a memory safety lock system that will remember your setting even after removing the attachment. It has a nice charging stand which doesn't take up much room and stands upright. Think that's all? Your wrong! It also comes with a nice travel bag when you have to take your clippers on the go as well a cleaning brush and oil should you need them for the blades. I am more than pleased with The Braun HC5090 Hair Clippers. I no longer have to struggle with the kids to clip their hair. It's quick, easy and very comfortable. I'm throwing out the old clippers and it's all thanks to Braun and BzzAgent. I highly recommend buying the Braun HC5090 Hair Clippers, it will make your life easier and quite stylish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the HC5090 for over a week now and I am very impressed. It comes with 2 trimming attachments that let's you choose between 16 different lengths. A fantastic feature is that the clipper can be used corded or cordless, it also come with a charging stand. Other included accessories are a travel bad, cleaning brush and lubricating oil.
It has a powerful motor, gives a nice smooth cut with no pulling, tugging or irritation. What's great is after your done using it you can simply run it under the faucet to clean. I love this clipper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I received this hair clipper free with no charge to me just for writing a honest reveiw. I really like that when your fading your hair it's adjustable guard is great.It's nice not to have to change guards all the time. I also like that its rechargeable, and when its dead you can plug it in and it will run.It comes with a brush to make cleaning easy.Has a bag to keep everything together.The blades are very sharp,and cut evenly.I really like the way it was boxed very easy to open.Unlike those blister packs that are hard to open. I have recommended this to my friends,and family,and will in the future.Thanks BRAUN you made a great product.
