Time consuming

It feels good in the hand, not heavy and clumsy like the newest model. However, I have to go over the same area many times before it actually plucks the hair, which is time consuming. Also, I hate that you can't use the epilator while recharging it. It's typical of Braun. Another thing is the false advertising, and this goes for all epilators. The promising of smooth legs for up to 4 weeks. That is just not true since each strand of hair on the human body is at its own stage of development.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not hold up

I purchased this back in may and have used it regularly since then. I love how long the results last, it is a time consuming process though. After 6 months of use I realized that although I changed nothing about the way I use it, it was not working up to par. After multiple passes over my legs it was just pulling on the hairs and not removing them. It seems it has slowed down and the tweezers may not be as sharp or work as well. I tried to contact Braun but they only guarantee it for 100 days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

6 months worth of smooth results isn't ideal when we're talking about our Silk epil 7. When you have a fully charged device, move slowly over your skin, and not put too much pressure down, you should have no troubles with getting rid of unwanted hairs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think that the Braun Silk Epil 7 removes hair very well. The downside is that it hurts pretty bad. You have to brace yourself before touching the epilator to your skin. I think waxing is just as efficient but is faster and causes about the same amount of pain. The epilator is a nice weight and shape and comes with many attachments. It is kind of loud. If you have a high pain tolerance this is perfect for you but if you are sensitive I would avoid this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I have used the Braun Silk Epil 7 a total of 3 times. The unit itself is comfortable to hold and all the attachments make it convenient for any area. I decided to start with my forearms. Normally I just shave but I let the hair grow in a little. Although it is definitely effective, it hurts quite a bit. I thought that maybe by the third time it would hurt a little less, not so. It hurt as much as it did using it the first time. I guess the bottom line is that it depends on how high your threshold is for pain. I will continue to do my arms but can't imagine using it in a more sensitive area. If you can tolerate it, you will find that your hair grows back less and less.

Good but not for the full bikini area

It's a good product overall, but I was not impressed with how it works on the bikini area. If you want to remove more than just the bikini line, then this is not the product to use. I read so many reviews of all the different epilator's out there, and settled on this one. I guess the search will have to continue, or I'll go back to waxing.

Epilation is easier and works best when the hair is 2-5mm long. Be sure your hair is free of any cream and oil, by showering or bathing before. This makes the hair easier to remove. Your skin needs to be dry before epilating unless you are using a Silk-epil Wet & Dry model which can be used on wet skin. Don't forget to epilate slowly. It should take approximately 15 minutes to do each section, and when doing sensitive areas be sure you're using the correct head. Move the epilator in several directions. Depending on the area you’re epilating, hair grows in different directions and you should move the epilator accordingly. Just not for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] well as a background before this review i want to say my skin is sensitive so i might have experienced different things. That being said, i epilated twice trying to give it a chance. the first time I epilated it HURT! like bad hurt! and my legs got like razor bumps. I have waxed before and yes that was also painful but I feel like epilating was definitely way more painful.Like I said i tried it twice and the second time the bumps weren't as bad so that's good. I definitely didn't try it on my face or my lady parts because since it hurt so bad on my legs I wasn't about to try it anywhere else! I'm sure the more you use it the easier it gets but I just can't because the bumps that lasted 2 days and it was hurtful. I'm a cry baby, I know! Waxing hurt at first too, and then i got used to it but I guess it's just so much quicker than epilating. I feel like since it takes longer to epilate it was that much more painful. My leg hairs did grow back in way slower and thinner which is always a PLUS! So yes does it work of course it just wasn't for me. I couldn't handle the pain but if I could I would have loved to keep epilating because it made my hair grow in so SLOWLY! It was great while it lasted!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical about the epilator, but after using it I am super pleased. unlike shaving, hairs take longer to grow back.
If you are doing it the first time I would recommend doing it in shower with warm water, it reduces the sensation.
Also love the facial attachments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is my second shaved ⺠and if the first hurts more because the hairs are larger. the second shaved not hurt either feels like when you give cramp. but real mind, and ultimately I am pleased that no more hair on âºâºâºâºâºâºâºððð days. Silk-épil 7 epilator Hair 7-521 recommend it. love
