Easy to use and not terribly uncomfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its not what I would consider a 'pleasant' feeling, but a lot less pain than waxing or cutting yourself with a razor. At first when I turned on the smart light I didn't like it, but after a few swipes I saw why it is needed. It is comfortable to hold. I am definitely happy with the results too, I was kind of skeptical beforehand. I will gladly continue to use it.

Great for new Braun users but not so much as an upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the older Braun Silk Epil 5 model and was planning to upgrade to a newer one. Thanks to BzzAgent, I got the opportunity to test and review the Braun Silk Epil 7 model.
The shape of the epilator looks elegant and is very easy to hold in the hand and use. This is a rechargeable waterproof model that can be used in the shower as well. I prefer the dry epilation and started testing it out after charging it for a few hours. It is faster when compared to the older 5 model and the flexible roller head makes it go smoothly over the skin. However, one has to be careful when going over the skin in the joints (such as elbow, fingers) as the skin can easily get pinched in these areas. Comparing to the older model, the epilation head is about the same size. And this cannot be used while it is charging. A full charge comes for about 40 mins of use, which would not be sufficient if you plan to epilate arms and legs at one stretch. Overall, this is great for someone trying Braun for the first time. But it does not offer much improvement as an upgrade from the older version.

Braun Silk-epil 7

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I used the Braun Silk-epil 7 on my lower legs and it was rather uncomfortable at first. I persevered on and continued to use the epilator on both calves. Like the directions say, use the evening before because after I was done, my skin looked like connect the dots. Basically, every hair was pulled from it follicle. I put some moisturizer on my legs afterwards for comfort. About a week later, I used the epilator again on my lower legs. I did not have as much hair to take off this time and there was not as much discomfort from using this on my skin. Compared with shaving, my hair is not growing back as fast. I tried the epilator on my underarms. There was a little bit discomfort like what I experience on my legs. Same thing of pulling the hair out. Several years ago I had laser hair removal on my underarms so it grows in very lightly. I did this about a week ago and the hair has not grown in yet. I must say I like using the epilator because you get a different smoothness to your skin because your hair is being taken off not shaved off to grow back the next day. I am very happy with this product. This product can be used as an epilator and as a shaver head.

Definitely an upgrade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was most definitely an upgrade from the Braun epilator I purchased 6 years ago. While my old one was still going strong and used regularly, this new the cordless design is so convenient. I wish I had made the switch sooner! The trimmer is very handy as are the different attachments for more sensitive areas like underarms. Although it is safe to use the epilator in the shower, I found that it works much better dry. It seems to grab more hairs when everything is dry. While Braun seems to have consistently made a fantastic product, the Silk-epil 7 has all the extra attachments and the added convenience of being cordless and makes for an even more amazing product. The flexible head is great when epilating my legs. The pivoting really helps the epilator move along my leg and does a better job than the standard non-pivoting attachments that came with my old device. I didn't think the light feature would be a significant difference, but it is quite handy to get a better view of any spots I missed! I can't say enough great things about the Silk-epil 7 and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new epilator.

Love the LIGHT and attachments!

This isn't the first time I've used an epilator, but I don't know how I ever used one without a light that showed me what hairs to aim for! Comfortable grip, doesn't hurt, I like the flexibility of being able to use it dry or in the shower - although to be honest, I find it takes longer to use an epilator than to shave, and didn't love trying to balance on one foot in the shower for as long as I needed to (compared to shaving). However, in exchange for taking longer to epilate than shave, I get longer between hair removal sessions, and even as the hair grows back, it is finer and in various stages, so it isn't as noticeable as shave stubble.
I decided to do a trial of one leg with this epilator and one leg with my old epilator - I definitely found myself preferring this Braun, since the light let me see more hair, and that left my legs hair free for longer. I also felt like my leg was less rough (prior to moisturizing) than the other leg with the older epilator.
The multitude of attachments allow for epilating other areas - ie, bikini line and face. I wasn't brave enough for face, but it worked very well on underarms and bikini line.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed using theis epilator. It is a little painful the first time in certain more tender areas but overall it was a great product. The ease of use and ability to change attachments depending on the area of hair removal made this a top notch pick for me!
It is very easy to hold in your hand and doesn't slip out at all when using it wet. I was a shave my legs, armpits, bikini area every day gal and now I don't need to use a razor at all and I have noticed each time I use the epilator the days in between use are further apart than the time before!

Powerful, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is a powerful little device. I'm not giving it 4 or 5 starts because the epi side just plain hurts no matter how many times i use it! I like the nice close shave and I like that I can use it whenever. If i am at the gym and realized I missed a spot I can pull it out and tackle it. It's easy to charge, quiet, and works well for shaving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had very good experience using Braun Silk-épil 7-561 epillator. I have a very thick dark hair , and this works great. I have been using this for two weeks now , first time it hurts but then you will be used to the pain . I have tried it on hands, legs and underarms but not the face . I would definitely recommend this to others
