[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am Mediterranean and for those that have ever traveled there, women have mostly dark beautiful curly/wavy hair which comes with one downside: lots of unwanted hair elsewhere. Iâm 36 years old and have started tweezing, shaving, epilating or waxing since I was 13. Yes, I've even burnt sugar in my momâs kitchen to create some kind of miracle home wax; the only thing resulted from that was a sticky pot that we had to throw away. Iâve had countless of epilators some of which didn't last a week and some iâve had for over 5 years.
So Iâve got the Braun Silk Epil 7 for free as a BzzAgent in exchange for testing and reviewing it. So far i've tested it on my legs, arms, underarms and bikini area. Iâve yet to test on my face. I have had great results and smooth legs with very little pain. Most areas don't hurt, i felt a little pain around ankles and knees even though thereâs less hair there. I guess those areas are sensitive overall. I love the smartlight feature for underarms because i can see even the smallest hair and go after it with a vengeanceð. I feel very lucky to have tested such a good product that is a necessity for me. I also used it on my husband to remove few stray hairs on his shoulders and he is very happy.
Pros
-The package comes with 6 accessories that can be used in different situations.
-The epilator can be used in dry or wet conditions. Warning: you have to use it unplugged in wet conditions.
-Love the light feature especially when epilating underarms.
-Operates for about 40 minutes when fully charged. That was enough for me to do legs and underarms.
-I didnât experience a lot of redness like with other epilators I've used in the past.
-I was able to epilate very short hairs in underarms that were re-growing from waxing. I couldnât wax them yet but I was able to epilate them.
-I epilated my husbandâs shoulders and he was totally fine with it, he didnât report any pain or discomfort.

Best advice I can give:
- if you don't know how you react to it, don't epilate before going to the pool/beach. Do it the night before so in case your skin gets red, it has time to go back down.
- If you havenât shaved or waxed in a while, trim your hair or wait for hair to grow a bit after a shave. Don't epilate long hair, it does hurt more.
- After epilating for the first time, exfoliate before additional epilations. It helps get ingrown hairs from under the skin so you can remove those too.

Amazing epilator!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Braun is one of my favorite epilator brands and the Braun Silk-épil 7-561 proves yet again why it is a top of the line brand. The epilator gives smooth hair free skin for a longer period of time than waxing or shaving. Yes, epilating is definitely more painful than shaving but using it in the shower helps to ease the pain and when used along with the massage roller attachment that helps tremendously too. It even gets the shorter hairs for a smooth finish. The built-in light is an awesome feature for use in the shower that helps you get to even the finest hair. On the whole, an amazing epilator and I continue to be impressed by the quality of this product!!

Smooth for days

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive the epilator and I used it straight out of the box. I was able to do both of my legs in the living room while my kids played beside me. I love the cordless feature. I was able to use it on three separate occasions without needing to charge it. Once it needed a charge, the light started blinking red, but I was able to go another 5 minutes to finish without losing power. I've epilated for years and this particular model surprised me with its ability to remove hair without pain. I had to check a few times to make sure it was working because all that I felt on my legs was the massage roller. I felt it on my armpits, but that area is more sensitive. I now use my epilator weekly (living in Southern California warrants it). I'm glad that I was able to try this unit for free and have already bought one for my sister.

Braun Silk-epil 7-561*Great Cordless Epilator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third epilator that I have ever used and it is by far the best. It fits well in your hand and I love the light. Even in daylight, it helps see the hairs you might have missed. It definitely hurts at first, but by the time you get to the second leg you've gotten used to it.
It's better if you go slow, in one direction, which helps from going over the same spot twice. It even works on longer hairs. The head is flexible and that makes it easy going over all kinds of bumps. No more knicks on your ankles. I have thicker, darker hair and it's been two weeks, but I think I can get away with a third. That's been great.
The only thing I didn't like was the narrowest head used for the face, which was too small and didn't remove hair well. To remedy that I put on the next size up and that worked. The directions are detailed, but a little hard to get through. Read through twice.
I would definitely recommend the Braun-Silk-epilator 7-561 if you are in the market for an epilator.

Braun Silk - Epil 7 Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what an epilator was until I received my Braun Silk Epilator in the mail. After reading all of the instructions and checking out a few blogs on the hair removal process I was a little hesitant to try this product. However to my surprise, I really like this epilator!
The product itself is beautiful and easy to use. The different attachments are easy to put on and take off. I love the light that turns on, it helps so much to see the extra fine hairs while you are in the shower.
The shaver attachment works great! I used the Sensitive Skin epilator head for my underarms and bikini area. I will admit that it does hurt, BUT the results are pretty fabulous. After using the epilator, my underarms were so smooth! I was a little sore after using the epilator but it didn't last long. I recommend using the epilator in the shower... soak in the shower to open your pores before you start.
Overall, I think this is a great product. Just know before your buy, that it is a little painful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thought was regarding the pain that 40 tweezers were going to cause. But surprisingly, the pain level was the same as the 20 tweezers of my other epilator. I didn't have to go over the same areas as many times with this, which took my time from around 30 minutes to about 15. I LOVE the on-board light. It was so much easier to catch stray hairs. It comes with 2 speed settings. I thought the faster speed would be better, but found that it broke off hair rather than grabbing it. It claims after one use to be hair free for 4 weeks however, I had some stubble in about 3 days. I'll take that over the shaving method which resulted in 12 hour stubble though. This came with a lot of different attachments, but so far I've found that having no cap on at all does a better job. I did follow up using the provided shaving head (at speed 2) and got super smooth skin. I was able to successfully do my underarms with minimal pain and zero rash. I haven't attempted face or bikini areas, but maybe that will be when I have more success with the other attachments. You can't use it while it's charging, which makes sense if you intend to epilate in the shower. But I'm a dry user, so it would have been nice to have that option. I would definitely recommend the Braun Silk-Epil 7 to anyone regardless if they've used an epilator or not.

Hair free with a pinch

I didnt know if this was going to be something safe to use on my sensitive skin, if it was safe to use while pregnant, if i needed to purchase and other products such as a cream or oil... i was in the dark. The product showed up in a tidy package, completely charged (!!!) And ready to go! They no where stated that the tool was already charged, so someone might plug it in unnecessarily. I'm one of those people who ready the manual about 80% through and refer to it for the rest of my questions. I found the instruction pamphlet a little confusing, or maybe not written as clearly as possible. After a once over, I decided to give it a go on my forearm, as I have a tattoo that looks nice when bare. I absolutely detest body hair, and had been growing it out since I signed up for this campaign... so it was about 1/3" long. I put the epilator on the first setting and decided to give it a try. Ouch!!! I knew it probably wasn't going to feel great, but it was a bit more painful than I expected. I definitely wish I would have had a warning of what kind of pain/sensation to expect. I only made one pass down my arm. I inspected the tool to see if I had taken off any flesh... I hadn't, but the blades were fairly intimidating so I put it down long enough to grab a soda from the fridge and get my nerves back. I made a second pass, which felt about the same, even being prepped for the coming ouch. But, the hair was gone! Completely! With only a single pass, no strays! My skin is very sensitive, and I noticed some redness coming in, so I decided that was enough for the day, not to over aggrivate my skin. Then my husband came home. He was curious. He took a swipe at the back of his manly fur-cladden hand. Same success! And pain! I heard him yelp from the next room and giggled. He was impressed, although had no intentions of swiping off more hair. I have let my legs go for about 5 days now, and will be attempting to clean them up, hoping they aren't as painful. The hair on my arm hasn't regrow at all, which is very enticing for a pregnant woman. I have no desire to keep shaving my legs, as it's getting more and more exhausting to bend over, so I am very hopeful this will be a great resolve for the remainder of my big belly time. One perk I haven't tried is the tool is safe to use in the shower!! How cool! I'm definitely impressed with the tool, and all its attachments. Impressed enough to look past the ouch and keep trying it!!

Awesome product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time using an epilator and the experience was surprisingly pleasant. I was very nervous about using this product because my skin is very sensitive. I tend to suffer from razor bumps and ingrown hairs. Shaving has always been very uncomfortable for me especially the bikini area. First and foremost read the instructions. I used this product and underarms and bikini yes it hurt the first time but it was worth the pain. My skin felt baby soft after and no hair bumps. The product is sleek and tends to curve toward the body it is easy to get a firm grip when using and oh do you get a close clean shave. I would definitely recommend this product. It is totally worth it. No more razors or waxing for me.
