Very Unsatisfactory Baking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The oven is beautiful and the side opening door fabulous. However, the performance of this oven is awful. The fan runs constantly in bake or convection mode. Food does not bake evenly, brown or reach optimum doneness even when doubling the usual cook time of my old oven. I'd put my old oven back if I could!! If anyone knows how to turn the fan off in bake mode, please answer, as maybe that would help.
I do love the side opening door, and the ease with which you can learn to operate this oven. There is also no exposed coil in the bottom, so spills could be cleaned easily.

Fabulous form and function

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we remodeled the kitchen, they raised the wall oven level by about 5 inches. That's fine for taller people, but I'm only 5'2", and it made it difficult to place and remove heavier or bulky items without touching the sides of the oven. After numerous burns, I started looking for an alternative. This Frigidaire Gallery side-opening oven was a great solution. The door opens out of the way so I'm standing within inches of the oven shelf. It's also gives me the options of a convection oven or a warming drawer. I like the steam cleaning function; I don't get the acrid smell I use to get with the previous self-cleaning oven. Additionally, it's nicely designed with stainless and a large glass window. I wanted the door to open to the right, and the installers were able to reverse the door opening on site. I've had the oven for a month and have no complaints. I highly recommend this oven.

Very very noisy with fan entire baking time

Replaced my previous Frigidaire oven which I was very happy with for 15 years with this noisy, noisy oven. I would never have bought this oven if I had know the fan would be on the entire cook time. I am so disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Upgrade

WHAT I LOVE
* More space: insulation has gotten more efficient since 1992
* Pre-Heat: takes 5-10 minutes

This oven does not fit into my built-in like the old Jenn-Aire, but that will be fixed when we renovate the kitchen.
