Just plain doesn't work

This is the worst Black and Decker product I have ever owned. My last toaster oven was also a B&D and I must have had it for at least 15 years before it conked out. needed a replacement for this one less than 6 months after purchase, and now that one isn't working. The toast timer stopped working on both, and with this one (though I don't think I tested the first) the bake function is unreliable. It rarely runs at the desired temperature, sometimes running cold and sometimes hot! I haven't timed the toast, but I think it has the same problem of inconsistent temperature. This is the last B&D product I will buy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

can't operate..... bakes on top only

I can not figure out this machine..... No directions for convection function, or anything else for that matter.. Baked a Pie burnt on top, raw on bottom. Made canned biscuits had to turn them over to brown on bottom.

it's like buying a broken oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] you made a specific toaster function, but the main functions are a mess, it has no below heat (only) function, HOW do you bake a pizza, it will burn the toppings and leave the crust raw or frozen. the toasted bread is one side only, what a mess

Awesome product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this toaster to try out and I love it! It toasts both sides of the bread evenly and doesn't take forever to toast either. I also heat up pizza which leaves it nice and crispy! The sleek silver design has it fitting right in here!

Confused by the lack of information

Thinking about taking this one back. There's is apparently no such things as an honest to goodness user manual for this oven. Just 1 page fold out printed in three languages in the sparsest number of words humanly imaginable. This oven ostensibly has a keep warm feature. In industry terms this is usually an automated function that the oven can be set to go into after cooking. All it seems to be is a hash mark on the dial. There's no instruction for using it, and If I have to set it myself I 'm not really sure it's a true keep warm feature. Unless there's a real manual floating around out there somewhere, we are probably taking this one back

Bad quality! Knob controls quit

Don't buy this toaster oven! This toaster oven was a gift to us about a year ago First the knob setting on toast quit working so we've been using the broil to make toast but now that setting is only working intermittent (expecting it to quit any day now). In the middle of broil it turns off then you have to turn the knob to bake then back to broil to get it to start up again. The timer knob is also acting up and stops working if you don't turn it past 10 min and sometimes doesn't count down so if you're not careful it won't turn off and then you'll have a fire. The up side to this oven is the size for making small meals without having to heat up our full size oven. The quality of the product is a big disappointment so now I'm afraid to try any other products by Black & Decker! Also unfortunate is that since it was a gift I don't have a receipt to use the warranty.

Works fast for quick meals!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great toaster oven! It comes with the rack and a little pan that fit in it nicely. It cooks everything even and cuts the cooking time in half which is nice for my busy household. I'm pretty much just using the toaster oven and neglecting my other appliances now. I love making toast in this because you can make a lot at once. It has a timer or a stay on option and it really looks great on the counter. It's a really nice design. It does get hot though so only really touch the handle when cooking. Love this so much, made my life easier!
