Trouble with the crumb tray and toasting

Just bought this machine recently. Worked okay but then, the toaster function would not work. If I had not come to this site and read the reviews, then I would not have seen the one from "Santa Bill" about the external placement of the crumb tray. I was ready to throw this in the trash but after reading that review, I could see that someone inserted the crumb tray into the interior and this is why it was not toasting properly. There was nothing in the manual about the external insertion - I would recommend adding this as it would be extremely helpful in product satisfaction. I had decided if I had to buy a new toaster oven, it would not be B & D brand. Glad Santa Bill's review helped me to "fix" it. Thank you!

Great for small meals and snacks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the Natural Convection Toaster Oven. It somewhat reminds me of my grandmother’s toaster oven while growing up. (Of course, with modern features.) This oven seems great for baking/heating small snacks and appetizers. Of course, due to the compact size, it has a quicker heat up time and less energy use. Additionally, such an item would be perfect for college students and people who have a limited kitchen area; whereby, a full oven would not be ideal. The toast feature creates even toasting. It makes great items such as grilled cheese sandwiches to baked chicken thighs. Despite the positives, it was still difficult to gauge the actual cooking temperature. It would have been nice to have an indicator for when the unit reached the set temperature. The exterior gets too hot very quickly. Also, the temperature knob seems too loose as compared to the other function knobs. Otherwise, this is a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The minute I took this toaster oven out of the box, I knew I was going to love it. Just the look of it says "WOW"! The stainless is very nice looking! What I like about it is the room inside. First I made toast and I fit in 4 large slices without having to cram them in. All 4 pieces toasted evenly. Then I made French fries. I was able to cook enough fries at once for both me and my husband, and he eats a lot of fries! lol. Then I reheated up leftover pizza we brought home the night before. It came out great. Like it was fresh from the pizza place. This toaster oven is wonderful! It heats up quickly. The best feature is the built in timer!! Love it!! The only thing that is does not have is the ability to be mounted under the kitchen cabinet like my previous one. That is a must for me when you have limited counter space. All toaster ovens should have this feature in my opinion. Otherwise, this is an awesome appliance!!

Good for quick heatings

Compact size, great appearance and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a really nice looking compact toaster oven. Easy to use and very simple to clean. Cooked evenly and toasted bread nicely. My kids were able to cook their pizza bites by themselves. The back and front were evenly cooked. No need to rearrange while cooking. The only item that was bothersome was the rubber piece kept falling out. It's not glued in but rests in. In my home, the toaster oven is pulled from the back of the countertop to the front. This way any heat will not bother the above cabinets. As it was moved, the piece always fell out. Truly not a big deal and I am sure a small drop of glue will remedy it. All and all - nice looking and cooking machine.

Loving this addition to my kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect size convection oven. Great look and perfect addition to my kitchen. Very easy to use. My older kids can make all their favorites without turning on the big oven and waiting for it to heat up. This is super simple to use and works vert quickly. You can make anything you could in a larger oven in smaller portions pretty much. We make chicken strips, mini pizzas, toasted sandwiches so many things that we would eithet microwave and have soggy or wait until our larger oven heated up to have. And now my older kids can just make their own after school or late night snacks without all the conplaints. Very easy to wash (do not put anything in the dishwasher!!! It will warp) stylish clean look. Doesnt take up a lot of space. What more could you ask for?

fast preheat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since receiving our toaster oven, my 15 year old has used it daily. He hated using the oven, preheat times were too long and he hated dealing with cleanup afterwards. This toaster oven preheats in just 2 minutes. It cooks faster than an oven would and clean up us fast and easy.
Baking temperature goes to 450 after that, you have the broil feature. It has a built in timer, a toaster feature and a keep warm feature. We decided to get rid of our standard toaster since this toaster oven has a toasting feature. It works great. Looks great. Sleek brushed metal exterior and a glass door.
So far, we love it. It was simple to learn how to use it. My son cooks for himself when he wants a snack. It's easily stored on the counter or off. We keep ours on a microwave cart.
It's really great for those small items or snacks items. No need to heat up the house with the oven, no long preheat wait times.
I don't know why we didn't get one sooner.

Neat Compact Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster oven is what every kitchen needs. You can quickly toast bread or cook a meal inside this oven. It heats up very quickly and evenly cooks your food. There is a pull out tray so you can clean up the mess in an instant. The toaster does not weigh much at all so you can move it around easily until you find the best spot in your kitchen. The stainless steel finish adds a classy touch to the appliance.
