Fabulous TV, App Store Needs Work

This is a fantastic television. The price on Amazon was great (~$800), the picture is crisp, and the remote and interface are intuitive. I recently downloaded the Android app that allows me to control the TV via my phone, which is also cool though lacking some of the actual physical remote functionality. My only complaint is the application store lacks quality titles. A lot of games that would be well suited for the Magic Remote are nowhere to be found. The only game that is bearable is too simplistic to keep our attention for long (Catch the Apples). I read somewhere that some new games and features are coming soon to the application storefront, but for now it is a little light on content. I also recently tried using the internet browser included to view content from NBC online (Sunday Night Football), but it identified an updated plugin was needed. When I attempted to update the browser, it said updates were not allowed. That is another area that could be improved - provide a browser that allows viewing live content or at least can be updated (i.e. a full web browser). Aside from that the TV itself is fantastic and worth every penny (and eventually I do expect the applications to catch up).

Excellence At A Value Price

Setup and connections took less than an hour. Having Optical Audio was a real plus feature. I ran an optical cable to my home theater system, and the surround sound response was excellent. I have no issue with the TV speakers. They are very acceptable for everyday use.
After a few personal preference tweaks, the 42LS5700 has been a perfect addition to our home.

Great TV with so many features and good price

I absolutely love my new LG TV. The SmartTV features are great. It knows when a new input feed is turned on and asks if you want to switch. The remote takes getting used to, but is fun once you get the hang of it. The remote acts like a mouse with a cursor that displays on the screen. I love using Hulu, YouTube and even Facebook features. Anyone who uses a tablet or PC will love this television. Has a great HD picture and easy to set up. Plugged my Comcast router directly into the TV and setup was so simple by doing this.

Great features

I am in love with my LG Smart TV. It has all the entertainment i need like netflix, vudu, cenema and more to watch all my movies without having to go to the movie theater and spend a ton of money. The picture quality and sound is awsome. I highly recommend this product.

Really Enjoying This Smart TV

This TV is everything I had hoped for! Love the Smart TV function, but haven't explored all the options yet.
Two complaints:
>The remote needs redesigning. The cursor doesn't hold on the screen very long and is difficult to maneuver. Because of the odd shape, it's difficult to hold (although it looks as if it should be easier). My hands are average size for a woman.

This was a great choice for us. Not too confusing, easy to program and hook up. We are very happy with it. The picture is clear and the sound quality is good too. I would definitely recommend it to others. The price was a determining factor vs. the features.
