Good fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this fridge to replace our 30 year old one that finally gave out (they don't build them like they used to). Overall this is a basic fridge and is good. Freezer gets down to near 0 degrees Fahrenheit and fridge stays a chilly 34. Stainless gets smudged easily but cleans up easy too. Need to make the wheels adjustable so they don't have to be removed and the unit is easily moved if needed. And needs an LED light rather than incandescent. The last two are my only two reasons for four rather than five stars. Only issue I've encountered was with the add on ice maker that was installed by the dealer. They left out an important piece and within one day the freezer floor was a solid chunk of ice and the drain pan overflowed all over my kitchen floor. If this fridge lasts half as long as the one it replaced, I'll be thrilled.

What I really want to say is that I have an Amana chest freezer that I bought in 1962 that is still running perfectly with no service calls ever. IF this refrigerator does anywhere that well, it deserves the highest accolades.

Life Changing

I replaced my old unit because it was showing it's age and to be quite honest, it was driving me to distraction on an unhealthy level. You see I am a retired, disabled Vet and one of my ailments is having Tinnitus bad enough where I have to concentrate when talking to people when the radio or TV are operating, throw in a Normally Noisy Refrigerator and life stinks. Had no clue when I bought this unit that it would be such a breath of fresh air, No abstract additional noise in my life coming from my kitchen - - Did Not expect the minimal noise, which can only be heard if you are in the kitchen, has made me a 1000% (Thousand) new Forever Customer of Amana - Many Thanks and Much Appreciation to the Company and the People on the works lines ! ~! ~ !~ !
