[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No ice maker (I was aware of this prior to purchase). No light in the freezer compartment (I was not aware of this prior to purchase).
I purchased this product less than one month ago. I now realize that I should have researched this product much more than I did. Also, I should have looked at other similar products before making this purchase.

Hacen 5 meses compré la nevera Amana y ha sido una bendición, ya que su temperatura, en el lugar aconsejado por el fabricante, es excelente. Hasta hoy ha mantenido mis alimentos fríos y cuando se ha ido el sistema de energía eléctrica, que en este país es casi todos los días, no he perdido ninguno.

We purchased this refrigerator as a backup to the one in our kitchen. Although we keep it in the garage, it even looks good there. There are no protruding handles to get in the way and it is just a simple, good looking unit that I can recommend for use in any location.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as secondary frig in basement, so I was not looking for bells and whistles. So no ice maker, less concern for frig bins, size of door storage, etc. My primary concern was with freezer space. As such it meets my need with lots of space for the price. Only real concern is that the single temp control 1) applies to both frig and freezer and 2) has only three options. But that is consistent with being an inexpensive model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For some reason this fridge gets extremely cold. I have it on the lowest setting and it freezes a lot of the items in my refrigerator. I expect the freezer items to freeze but not the bottom half. For some things its a problem, but if I take out some meat to thaw then stick it back in the fridge it partially refreezes which is good sometimes cause it won't go bad but sometimes I have to set it back out to thaw again. The fridge I had before this one had wire shelves so I'm having a hard time adjusting to the glass shelves and the maintenance involved. I have covering on the glass know. All in all it's bigger than my previous unit and the crisper gives me an additional shelf. All in all its a good purchase its just that depth problem that's bothers me. But it is really cold. The coils that use to be on the back are now on the bottom of the unit so you can push it back further.
