I bought this appliance because we were limited in space, both height and width. Our old top freezer model was smaller but had the same capacity, although a bigger freezer area. This refrigerator has good cooling and the refrigerator are is adequate. However we both dislike the freezer, which holds a lot less than our old model and the pull out wire shelves are a pain, although a necessity.. I can't imagine the available space if you had a model with an ice maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So nice to open the fridge and to be able to see everything at eye level instead of getting down on my knees to see into it. Really like the bottom pull out drawer freezer. Grandkids can get their own ice pops without grandparents' help.

Wish they made the same size as the Amana I previously had. This one a bit small, next size would have been a bit too big for it's cubby hole. My biggest disappointment is that when it runs it is so very noisy. I can hear it rooms away. It is a nice looking item. Freezer on the bottom. I would recommend it but warn about the loud noise when it is running. I don't recall my previous Amana to have been so loud.

After years of a disliking a refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom, we are pleased with the bottom freezer, lighting, amount of space, adjustable shelves. The only complaint so far is that there are no provisions for ice cubes or trays. It's also all about longevity.

I love this Amana refrigerator. Not only is it made in America, but it has all the features I need. The freezer slides out and is roomy enough with baskets that also slide. The inside of the refrigerator is large enough and with the adjustable shelves that I can put at any height. Also, it is quiet when it runs. I love this appliance.

It makes a knock noise, it hums loud, a head of lettuce doesn't fit in the produce drawer and drawers don't open smoothly.

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and it was delivered for me on 6/3. My original refrigerator stopped working and it had reached it's age - it had been in my house since 1999 when I bought it. I had not yet had a refrigerator that had a freezer on the bottom - and I love it! I really enjoy the space on the top and it makes you more aware of what you have in the refrigerator section. Plenty of room and I was glad I spent the extra dollars to upgrade.

Pain I wanted a new one with a bottom freezer as it would be so much easier for to take things in and of the fridge. My husband also likes it a lot.
The only drawback is I wish it was larger but we are limited to space because of a built in space where the fridge goes. We are extremely pleased with our purchase.
