[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the bottom freezer. However, the freezer is smaller than my old top freezer and the arrangement not as good. Noise level is acceptable but could be better. My old fridge lasted for 18 years. If this one runs as long, I will give it five stars.
We didn't need an ice maker; ice is an old family recipe.

Our fridge was on it's last legs, wasn't dead yet but it was close. We had time to trek from store to store and walk rows of refrigerators. We now had ideas but no fridge. After the trips to the stores, the internet searches began. We had size constraints. So, we narrowed our choices to 3 brands, and decided the Amana was the way to go. The model was located at a local store, and we bought it on the spot. One thing I hadn't taken into consideration was how little electricity it uses. We won't be getting those holiday cards from the electric company any more. We like the ways the shelves can be adjusted to make the most efficient use of space, and how well lit the interior is. With the fridge on top and the freezer drawers on the bottom, everything is much easier to put away and find. There is even lighting for the freezer drawers. The door to the fridge holds quite a bit: the bottom shelf holds three half-gallons of milk & two half-gallons of juice. The other shelves on the door are adjustable for the most often used items. We like the way the door closes with a thunk, and the way the freezer drawer seems to pull itself closed when it's an inch or so away from closing. The fit and finish are good, and the refrigerator is quiet. Compared to our last refrigerator, this thing should pay for itself due to the savings in electricity used to run it. To sum it up we are very happy with our decision to buy this Amana refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best fridge ever! We had our old Amana side by side for FORTY YEARS, but when our popsicles were melting we knew it was time! We love the bottom freezer and the huge interior of our new fridge! We know we'll never make it another 40 years, but we sure hope our refrigerator does! btw We added an ice maker - it's quiet and runs well as does our fridge!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am pretty happy with the new refrigerator but I am still moving the contents around. My last one was with me for 25 years and was still running. Someone else is going to use it. I know Amana is a very old company and also that my new refrigerator will be fine.
I purchased my refrigerator in May and have waited to review it after using it for awhile. I love the bottom freezer, so easy on my back. I would definitely give this refrigerator 5 stars except that the drawers are definitely smaller than my old refrigerator and I can't get everything in them. Also I found the door shelves are smaller, too. I find that the large flat area at the bottom of the refrigerator section is great for temporarily sitting items when I have to re-arrange or get something from the back of a shelf. I did adjust the freezer to a colder number and my ice cream and cubes are perfect. It's easy to find items in the freezer as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 20.5 cubic ft., Maytag top freezer for a smaller bottom freezer.....and am not regretting my decision. It seem like I have more room...go figure. I like having my refrigerator at eye level....and the few times I need to get something out of the freezer....the roll out shelves make it very easy. It is very quiet, the door seals tightly, and it doesn't run as much as my previous refrigerator. If I didn't have a cabinet enclosure, I would have gotten the larger size, but I haven't missed the 2 cubic ft.......although I will put it to the true test at Thanksgiving! The produce/ vegetable/ snack drawers are not the the most durable looking, but I am not rough....for the money, it is a well made refrigerator, without many of the bells and whistles that tend to be problematic in the long run.
